I would look at the running back in New Orleans. Mark Ingram.

That guy aint done nothing I don't think but in his defense the Saints are pretty much bombs away. I thought Ingram would've been good coming out of college. I bet there are gonna be some wanting to give Steven Jackson a shot.

You're right, the FO needs to just go out there and trade for a future HOF player, easy right?

This team needs a take charge guy on the O and D. Two guys that are going to lead the team by example, and good playing. I would like to see Heath be the leader on the O but he has to want that challenge. I do not know who on D we have to be a leader. But in my opinion that is where it has to start.

Rarely do trades work out that well.

Rarely does a trade work out like that. I think it one of the best draft day trades in NFL history, of course the Hershell Walker trade to from the Cowboys to the Vikings is #1.

    This. Plus O-Line consistency.

Heath seems to be more of a quiet, lead-by-example kind of person. Respect. But you're right. This team needs more than that, right now.

Do you think the supposed words between Troy and Foote were because Troy came back onto the field trying to be that person? If so, then Foote, as current captain (?) would try to solidify his position. Thoughts?

Shon Greene from the jets. Michael Johnson dt from cincy. Peyton Hillis for our short yards!! I've always liked him. He reminds me of one of my favorites, Mike alstott.

what type of draft pick do you expect to get for a guard who cant stay healthy and an underachieving DE?

im willing to guess a 7th and that is being generous. If another team was offering that up for a draft pick to us Im pretty sure people would be calling the other team nuts. They are more valuable on our team than trading for a 7th round pick or even a 6th, because that is about all we get for those 2 and thats being generous.

The problem with this trading is what I get blasted for all the time.

You need to find a team with an under achiever that you think can rebound.....You don't trade for a star...but for a potential star

and around here a potential star is nothing but a bum or locker room cancer.

The Rams wanted to get rid of Bettis....as his production dropped and they changed offenses.

    HACK

Funny you should mention Alstott- drafting Jamain Stephens instead of Alstott remains, in my mind, as one of the major gaffes made during the Cowher era. He would have made a fine blocker for Bettis and an excellent addition to the offense.

Instead, they took Stephens, missed out on Alstott, and took Jon Witman as the FB in that draft instead.
