Yee. And the anti-jinx worked. So, don't come here and start apologizing to me and asking for forgiveness.

Nobody believes that was what you were doing. Damage control rings a bell.

With Watt out for a while, it might be time for them to start blitzing more, let Flores come up with some new stuff to offset the loss of Watt's production.

They did some of that in overtime, including the sack by Maulet that forced a fumble.

I heard some of the media was saying the Steelers used different looks against the Bengals., hopefully Austin and Flores will be an improvement over Butler.

Tomlin really needs to go in time out and have the red sock put in storage.

Yes and while Watt could increase that chance would it be worth the risk on a losing season. It's not purposefully tanking but it risk reward evaluation. Then add to that the assessment if it's like Tuitt's injury a few years ago where it's painful and limits full movement but zero risk of injuring further. So if it's something like that do they play him in a losing season or put the wrapper back on and shoot for 2023?

I imagine Watt will be part of that conversation. If there is no chance of further injury, I'm guessing he would want to play. I'm not sure they are going to get that guarantee.

If they are 1-6, I would have no problem with them changing course and having Watt shut it down.

Obviously 20.8% over 29 challenges the past five seasons is clearly not good, and a little hard to understand after he ran a 50.8% success rate over his first ten years. That said, drawing more inference from the data here seems frivolous - I mean, the only coach in the bottom five with enough attempts to be relevant to Tomlin is Gruden (and Tomlin exceeds him, 42% to 34%). The others, while showing worse success also don't have more than 18 attempts individually.

Tomlin's not the worst in the league, but he hasn't been good these last few years either, for whatever reason.

So, All my Doctor and physical therapist Buddies on here ...How exactly does one take time off to let it heal AND...How does he maintain any strength when he does come back?

If it's partially torn, they probably don't want him to do ANYTHING....And if you then do not want him to do anything and let it heal, How is he going to have any kind of strength or stamina for the rest of the year?

He may still be able to do some leg work. Maybe riding a stationary bike. I don’t know for sure. I’m sure it depends on his specific injury.

He can still work on His stamina, and lower body, but yes His upper body will be weaker, but not that much. That is if it's only as long as they say.
