I liked what I saw. They really didn't have him pull much in the running game, though--which I thought was his strength in college. However, he looked solid sealing, and the few good runs that Dwyer had came from running behind DC.

I'm excited about his development going forward.

Did he give up a sack? I thought I saw that.

Coach Cliche says the arrow is up on both DD and Beachum. For what it is worth!

Pretty sure he did. Still, I've seen worse debut performances. Much worse. And above all, he didn't get re-injured, which right now counts almost as much as a W.

there are not to many linemen in the league that haven't given up a sack. we let colon and starks slide on sacks. colon and starks were double teaming the guy that sacked and hurt ben. two of our all pros as some here think couldn't block one guy. pitiful. DD isn't pulling much until they get the knee back into shape where he can make those cuts up field if he has to. it's still pretty early in his comeback for alot of that.

I don't really recall, but I think DD was miffed about something when that sack occurred. Seemed like he expected someone else to do something and basically let the guy through. So it could have been a Rookie mental error or maybe he had something wrong in the blocking scheme that play, or someone else blew it and it made him look bad. He just didn't get beat on that play, there was something else to it.

It seemed DD gets a nice forward push in the run game...

that comes with playing time. switching off is a big part of the O-line gelling.

i watched beachum get taken off his man by the help they were giving him. he had his man wrapped up in pass protection only to have the help get in his way by the rb or te. that happened several times, the last couple of weeks. he would be better off if they left him alone and kept the rb in the pattern or in the backfield. they think he needs help and it hinders beachum more. give him room to operate.

i watch this crap all game long. it's also why i have gripes about colon and max.

the guy that stands out this year the most is pouncey. he is not having a great as year as before for some reason. still very good don't get me wrong but he gets run past at times.

foster does some things well but he has slow feet too when asked to move, pull or lead block. his best is straight ahead. he like pouncey can hit multiple targets. he delivers a staggering chip block before going to the LB. just not a lateral mover. of course that is pretty important for a guard.

colon can't move fast enough either. the backs have to wait on him. he's usually in their hole. people wonder why they dance. that's why.

DD has to get the knee better until we see his pulling magic. maybe not even this year.
