And Hilton plays the slot, the Steelers should draft a versatile CB who can play slot/outside CB. They need a #1 CB type of guy someone who can eventually matchup with the top receivers in the league.

I still dig the theme song 2 that show. I remember learning it, and playing it for some younger people, and they were like....Wow did you write that. LOL

I had to go listen to it 4 Gits and Shiggles. I remember Wrathchild America played that at a time before the show started if i'm not mistaken.
Aww hell, could be wrong , but thats what came to mind immediately. It could have been someone else. Johnny Quest?

I wonder how much of this top QB looking is just to make the phone ring on draft day from teams wanting to trade down ?

I would be okay with them just drafting an outside CB, Sutton, Maulet, and Norwood can play the slot for now.

Hopefully not. I would rather stay put than trade down.

Exactly ....I still think we shouldn't be drafting a qb this year....draft for our other needs, next year's group of qb's is much stronger

Well, what I think the Steelers will do is trade up in 2nd round for Ridder/Howell Hopefully they won't go any higher than 40 these players Imo. Aren't worth any higher slots. But we all know how the league is always searching for the next franchiseQB

i have said this from the start and that i thought colbert has spent a lot of time around howell. both he and trubisky from North Carolina. just a strange feeling about him. wouldn't be the worst pick.

Boy, I think he can be had in the middle of the 2nd. Then we would have 2 tarheels competing
back there. If we are going to take a QB I think this is when we will do it. Unless Kenny Pickett falls into our lap at 20.

well that would be ideal to wait but i'm not sure they will unless they move up in rd. two. not sure they will wait. they have a lot of time watching him. MT was pissed he said of not being able to go to his pro day. kevin was there and kevin has hung around him a good bit since this process started. sr.bowl, a couple of games, pro day, team visit.:cool:

Interesting. More Ben then Jackson. This all goes back to what your definition of mobility is. Strong is mobile enough to extend plays to hit a receiver down field but he’s not going to run for a lot of yards.

Oh I long for the days of Donahoe and Cowher. Cowners stems were absolutely loaded with talent. I would love us to focus on building an elite defense and power run game the wy we were before they drafted Ben. A team like that can compete in any era look at the Titans. Then in two or three years when the team is elite and loaded we go after the franchise QB. Its backwards to reach for a QB now when you have so many holes. If we trade up for Ridder it just reeks of desperation. We don’t even know if the incoming GM is gonna be on board with the QB we draft and we aren’t even certain if Canada will be here next year. It would be nice to see if his offense is even the type of offense we want before trading up to draft a QB.
