I like sutton in the slot but maulet I dont. When teams go to 4 wide we need someone better. Much of the reason we couldn't play dime much last year. If you remember at the start of the season we hadn't even practiced the dime defense because we couldn't figure who would man the slots. That was right from our defensive backs coach and our now DC. We have Pierre and layne as bigger corners to help backup that position and if there is an injury to our starters neither can really man the slot.

Gunner was the first team All-Pro punt returner in 2020. I don't know what made the Patriots trade him away only a year later.

this kid was an all-american returner. gunners job to lose i'd say. not too bad as a receiver either. not a big sample size but i think always a danger with the ball in his hands and open ground.

there is talk about teams giving jones reps as a receiver too. he did some at houston at the end of last season i saw. he seems similar to gunner in that respect but can play slot corner as well. i don't know if they take him or not but we also met at the combine with him.

I will hopefully be able to write all that which I had promised at the beginning of the month by the week. Mind you I am working on my backup PC as my main one is still getting service repairs! Sorry for the inconvenience everyone!!!

Yeah, wasn’t sure if they would after Trubisky but I’m fairly confident now that one of several QB’s I like will be a Steeler on the eve of the 28th.

I will update the criteria for which players to look out for when the weekend rolls along. Rather, it is essentially a repost of what I did in 2019 regarding on how to spot which players have the best chance to be the Steelers First Pick. My sig below is a current reflection of that though I will be changing these players as soon as Thursday rolls around for Wednesday is the Final Pro Day via LSU.... technically the 15th for Drake London though I doubt the Steelers are going to send anyone of note to Cali to see him.

Screenshot_20220405-162836_Free Adblocker Browser.jpg Kyle Hamilton was in for a visit as well as Quay Walker.

I wonder if all this QB stuff is a ruse so they can trade up and get Hamilton. Seems weird they would bring him in. Virtually no chance of getting him at 20.

I read the other day experts are expecting Hamilton to fall to the middle to late first round,,

If Hamilton falls anywhere past 10 the Steelers should trade up to get him.

    Is that right?!

Why, because of the 4.59? Dude, no way that many teams are dumb enough to pass on him to see him land in our lap. Heaven help me if they choose Desmond Ridder over Kyle Hamilton.

Heaven will see me if they pick Ridder over Hamilton. I'll be like Fred Sanford having the "big one" to go join Elizabeth.

i like stats and no they are not the end all be all but it can give you an overall picture of a player over time. has anyone ever looked at the stats of the top safeties in this draft? everyone is gaa gaa over hamiltons size. i get that but how about production on the field?

if you look at brisker, cine, hamilton, hill, cross, bolden, pitre stats, i'm all about pitre. tackles, tackles for loss**, forced fumbles**, passes defended, interceptions, you won't see much difference in any of those guys production numbers.

don't follow the hype of some of these mel kipper wanna be's about how much better one of these guys is over the other. they just aren't. look at pitre's production over these other guys numbers in those * areas i have shown you. his numbers are head and shoulders above the others. those are drive stoppers. his tackles for loss equal more then all the others put together. his forced fumbles are pretty close to those others combined as well. his picks and passes defensed are right there with them as well, slightly below but with everything else he brings it very well equals out. not that he's bad in those area's either. do your own research. we are talking nothing special with hamilton to say he's a first round pick that much better then any of the other guys here.

I agree with Alex Kozora they need to draft a CB with traits to keep up with all those talented WRs in the league, they need some speed at CB, Sutton and Wallace are lacking in that area.

He's still a midget CB, that's not a guy with traits to cover the better WRs in the league .
