Unveiling of the "Throwback" Jerseys

I'm way in the minority because I like these and the 90's ones. These look better on Redman at the presser than the photos of the unis and the 1990's ones were cool except for the vynal stripes. Stitched on stripes would have been cool.

Whatever.... They could wear black and gold ballarina outfits as long as they win the superbowl. (exaggeration of course)

 

I hope the Steelers don't plan on making to much money off these jersey's
They are hideous. Flat out terrible.

 

Hadn't thought of it like that. I suppose it would make sense, given the time they're throwing back to.

Not being the biggest rugby fan (violent, yes; but also essentially a game for private school kids), this still doesn't endear me to them, though.

 

Yeah, if they would have put money into those 90's throwbacks and made them stitched that would have been the best throwbacks IMHO

The jokes have already started in my office. "Hey is that Isaac Redman on my Honey Nut Cheerios?" : /

 

I hope it's a muddy field when they wear these. I think they should be called "Thrownup jerseys"

The jersey's are awful by the way! I was most likely going to buy a new jersey this year if it was the one with the hypocycloid around the top, but no way with these new ones.

 

If Ben and Brown have a big game wearing those throwbacks .. we'll call them the "Killer B's"

Although, I do have a feeling the Chief actually would have liked seeing us wear these uniforms, almost 80 years (and SIX Superbowls) after we first did...
I just don`t have that sentimental attachment to them...

You know, it's kinda funny. I absolutely hated this when I first saw it. But, the more I look at it, the more I like it. This seems pretty authentic to the 1934 team they were trying to mimic. Plus, it's quite unique. I actually think I might consider buying one.

 

Has anybody seen the Ravens throwbacks?
