Thats incredibly arrogant that you want me to accept and promote your argument. I don’t agree with it and won’t promote it. I think the whole premise is absurd.

I keep wording it the way I am in hopes of you seeing how silly it sounds that a team got rid of a player they think is better and that would have cost them less money. Your reasons for why they did don’t change that, they are silly reasons that no team would actually justify for getting rid of superior talent.

By all accounts Harris has recovered from his eye injury. That he would have gotten hurt regardless of what team he played for has no bearing on this discussion. It’s another attempt by you to distract from an incredibly weak argument that a team gets rid of superior talent for less money. It is yet another display of mental gymnastics to explain away the reality of what we are all seeing. Chargers gave their rookie pick around 18 carries I believe and their vet, 1 carry. They gave him a contract with a base salary of less than what he would have earned with the Steelers. These facts plus the facts of how the Steelers moved on from him all point to him not being the talent you believe him to be.

Keeping Harris here would have solved nothing and would have not improved this roster. It was time for change

    Change is here.

It's just one game they're paying Warren to be RB1.

And will be the first Steelers RB1 to not rush for over 1,000 yards

Not quite. Warren finished with more carries. Had more yardage on the ground and through the air and score a TD.

I agree with a lot of what You say, but the coaches don't seem to have the same faith in Warren as our GM does.
Of course it's only one game, and we will see. I actually hope He, and all our Rbs do super awesome.

Kinda odd to think this given his roll in the first game.

I think its RB by committee.

I don't want you to accept and promote it. I want you to stop misrepresenting it. Don't claim that I wrote something that doesn't make sense, then post something that isn't an accurate representation of what I wrote.

You keep the wording your way because it suits your argument. They got rid of a player who is better right now, but could see a steep decline soon because he has already taken quite a few hits in the NFL and running back careers are very short. If he wasn't the better player, he wouldn't have started every game the last four years and gotten the majority of the touches in those games. I'm hoping at some point you will see how silly it is to argue that they gave the majority of the snaps and touches to the lesser player just because a GM who is long gone from the organization took him in the first round four years earlier.

I'm not the one who harped on the injury in these discussions. You were. By your logic, that means it is you trying to distract from a terrible argument which looks even worse after watching the Steelers being stuck playing Gainwell half the time Sunday.

Has nothing to do with the post I responded to.

But as long as you changed the topic.

Comparable games Najee had last season:

    19
    42
    41
    14
    42
    36

I haven’t misrepresented anything you said. Go back and find where I said this is what you wrote?

I’m stating what is, I’m mocking the absurdity of the idea they got rid of the better player and for less money. You just don’t like the bluntness of that.

When you intentionally leave out the majority of my argument, the strength of my argument, that is misrepresenting it. What I don't like is you repeatedly doing that. What you don't like is that you don't have a valid explanation for why they continued to start Harris and give him the majority of the snaps and the touches right through his final game as a Steeler. The answer you did provide is absurd.

yes.. those would be viewed as bad games on the ground for Najee.

the point tho is Warren clearly wasn’t viewed as the favorite RB because he wasn’t used that often even though folks on here claim he is our RB1.

I don’t think this game proved that is true just yet.

Well, Gainwell out snapped Warren 30 to 25. Gainwell was just on the field more than Warren, it was surprising and it certainly doesnt support the idea that Warren is the favorite.
