Warren was a monster, but let's give the offensive line some credit. They've been nails for a few weeks. It's all coming together at the right time

1st hell of a game by Warren give him his due. I dont disagree with the start of your post.

The last bit about Najee is the lingering Willie Park effect. Somewhere we as fans got conditioned to think all Steelers RB's should be home run hitters and take it to the house on every attempt(hyperbole obviously) when the reality that a one yard dive across the goal line nets you the same as a 45 yard run to the end zone. One is just more flashy because its a splash play. IMO you need both to really establish a solid run game. Is the ability to take a handout 75 yards to the house with the nearest guy being ten yards behind a great tool to have in your bag? Yes definitely but if you are relying on that tool to win you every game you will have a lot of disappointment.

Any way go Warren and Gainwell:towel:

Rodgers said his goal was to get Gainwell paid. Someone might need to pass A-aron a note and tell him maybe stopping that now so resigning Gainwell is affordable.

Pretty sure that there was a lot of "Fire Pat Meyer" going on early in the season.
Now we have the #3 ranked o-line making huge holes with our starting left guard and our starting/2nd string/3rd string left tackles out of the game.
Maybe some of you were a bit, um, hasty.

The opponents record of those 3 games was 12-39 last season....And Harris was below average before and after those 3 games for the season

It was great to see Warren have a good game. Would like to see this more often moving forward.

It is funny that now that he finally has some good runs people are like “see, this is what the stats were telling us”

No, he finally had 2 big runs at that is what we have been waiting for all season. Not success rate and crunching stats looking for a positive within mediocrity but plays we can see where he has a real impact on the ground.

Amazing the difference a competent offensive line makes.

Yeah that ain’t it, chief. Harris is gone because he was an inefficient RB that cant make house calls. Warren just had two 45 yarders in one game. Your boy has 9 million carries and never did it once.

But go on carrying water for the player that isnt a Steelers anymore while :poopy: on the one who is. :goofy:

Success rate matter if you want to keep the ball and don't have to punt...

Remember when some was saying in the offseason that Warren had fumble issue?...0 fumble this year and also of one game in the rain in Baltimore in 2023,it never been a problem

I think run defense ranking matter more than win loss. If not, this means we can shrug at the CLE game next week because they only have 2 or 3 wins.

Also, Warren had 2 good games on the ground this year and the other was a loss to CIN. So is this an anomaly or the norm?

Things that make you go hmmm (that is if you use the logic of those who dismiss a good performance because the norm isn’t good)

Every RB with at least 1000 yards this season has at least 2 runs of 30+ yds, and all but one has at least one 40+ yd run.

I still want us to take a long and hard look at Meyer before extending his contract. We’ve seen this act before with Canada and the brief success he had at the end of the 2022 season.

Get back to me when Warren rushes for 1,200 yards and catches 70 passes without missing a game or fumbling .

Harris had over 300 runs and 380 touch that season....Of course the yards will never be the problem in this case....The efficacity is a another story, who was the bigger issue for Harris. His durability with us was great, nobody question that
