No doubt, he just doesn't have the "it" factor to compete with the other QBs in the division or AFC as a whole. He has had two games to prove that he might have a "Rich Gannon" like resurgence in his career (albeit at a younger age), but it's not happening. Three major things I have seen these last two games...

-Does he throw off his back foot half the time or more? What is that? I see him do this even if there is no pressure and he has time to set his feet.
-If that end-of-half Hail Mary was a show of his arm strength, then it isn't that great. Not sure I ever heard it was any better than average, but I didn't think it was that bad.
-The ultrasafe approach is mind numbingly boring and ineffective. I can't imagine it being inspiring to his teammates. This of course may be more on the play-calling, but it's hard to believe on third-down plays there not being any receiver with a route beyond the first down marker.

Is Pickett the answer? Can he compete with the all-star QBs in the AFC? I don't know, but they should give him a chance starting next week.

The league looks nuts right now. All teams have pluses and minuses. I agree Trub is not a starter and I go both ways on Pickett. More likely then not he'd get his ass handed to him at first. Starts in the trenches and right now ours are to shallow. I don't have an answer but I do think at this point you could have Trub/Mason/Kenny in there and see the same results.

Trubisky = Mike Tomczak no questions ask. Get him out of there. We live or die in the hands of Pickett. Let’s do this! Give Pickett the year to see if he has it or doesn’t. If he’s not ready now at 25 he’ll never be……..
