trade Tomlin

    Noll would have got rid of most of you. He would have kept Ben.

    & Glemm.

    Tomlin would fall under not good enough.

    Poor Tomlin gets no respect for his wonderful regular season records and his darling cliches, so amusing. That's what it's all about to some. Others want more... You can hear crickets the last time they sniffed a Super Bowl or for that matter go far in the playoffs.

    So lets hope we can see this year a run and not an early exit...

    I understand wanting more from the Steelers, but some "demands" people are making are unrealistic.

    I wonder how much abuse some people would have heaped on Noll.
    The 80's were a 10 year stretch without a SB appearance, and a 2-4 playoff record.
    No playoffs in 1980 or 1981, despite the offense still having a HoF QB and a HoF RB.

    (If I pointed out that Noll coached the 1982 team to the playoffs with their backup QB almost the entire season, or that the 1984 team was the only one to beat the 49ers that year, would I be accused of ignoring Noll's failures in those recent years?)
