I think getting a receiver instead of an offensive lineman is an excellent idea. And there is nothing you can do about it.

Raiders dont want or desire to trade Adams, Adams is the one requesting trade

Maybe he doesn't want to deal with the eternal **** show that is the New York Jets. Maybe he saw Carr falter last year and doesn't want to deal with that again. Maybe the Raiders won't trade in the division. Maybe he wants no part of going to Baltimore, where receivers' careers go to die. Maybe Buffalo is too cold for him. Maybe he doesn't want to trust a rookie quarterback no matter how good he looks. Maybe he thinks all the Steelers need is a stud receiver and he wants to play for a coach who will enable him doing his thing like Tomlin will.

Some of those are more far-fetched than others, but if you're going to go ahead and try to tell us you know what Adams wants, I can poke holes in it.

Also, keep in mind that Adams is not a free agent. The Raiders don't have to send him where he wants to go.

The Raiders seem to have warmed up to the idea very quickly.

It’s been reported his preference is the Jets or the Saints. But you make an excellent point he doesn’t really have any say so in the matter.

how about we send Russ, Austin and a 3rd?

I guess the Raiders are just toying with teams by saying they want a 2nd round pick and addtional compensation for Adams?

Haven't seen anyone mention it, but he's currently nursing a hamstring injury. I'm sure he would need to pass a physical, but the older these guys get, the more nagging these soft tissue injuries become. Russell Wilson??? Anyway, what good is it if we send picks to the Raiders for him, he comes in and plays a couple of games then is out for the rest of the year because the hammy acted up again? Yeah, I'm sure Khan can make the numbers work and in theory he would definitely help out. But at his number and what they want in a trade, they might want to see what Tennessee wants for DHop.

Are you sure there is not a no trade clause in his contract like most star players have,? Hell, even Russell Wilson has a no trade clause in his 1year contract with the Steelers.

Again, fine in theory but I doubt the front office would be that flippant about his contract if they are genuinely interested in him.

Really? His control of situation is limited? When I stated on here long ago, no-one in NFL wanted either Wilson or Fields, answer was they didn’t want to play for anyone but Tomlin.
Seems like them two had control of their situation. Maybe Adams should say the same thing. Poof… he is now a Steeler…easy peasy

The last time Adams wanted to go play with Derek Carr it didn't work out too well for him .

It's funny his hamstring became injured as soon as the Raiders HC questioned the effort of some of his players.

That wasn't my answer. Also, Wilson was a free agent. I certainly never suggested he only wanted to play for Tomlin. He had a visit with the Giants. If they had offered him the starting job first, he might be there. Maybe the Bears tried to accommodate Fields, but I doubt they did it at the expense of how much they got in return.

The Sporting News has gone in the toilet. That isn't reporting. It is clickbait citing some nobody on Twitter.

Once again no other team wanted our qbs. Pretty sorry he couldnt beat out Daniel Jones. No one wanted either or.
But they are light years ahead of the stooges we had last year.
Hmm, KFP with tiny hands, yet Fields cant even line up behind center without constantly fumbling.
The 23yd fumbled snap at least prevented a game tying fg. This could be much worse in other games he fumbled but recovered his own fumbles. Still got Chicago in him. Longer the season goes the more it manifests itself
Forgot to add… Fields can run

What are you talking about? Wilson never competed with Daniel Jones. The reports I read indicated that Wilson met with both teams and initially, neither the Giants nor the Steelers would guarantee him the starting job. The Steelers changed their minds, leading to Wilson signing and Pickett's departure.

There wasn't much of a market for Fields, but he has played better than expected despite the fumbles. Constantly isn't accurate, but it's more of a problem than it should be.
