I did a search and can't find the NFL top 100 thread. Found one about Woodley and the Top 100.

Anyway, Harrison and Ben, 29 & 30 respectively. The haters have them voted as overrated. Go figure!

    Haters gonna hate.

I can see OT's giving a lot of love to Harrison in the Top 100. "James Harrison is the only LB I can hold all day and never get called on. Man, he makes my stats look good!"

When this show comes on NFL Network, I change the channel. It's pointless filler. The "Results Show," in which they debate the ratings for that night's episode, is even worse. I just have a problem trying to rate players across positions.

Ha, I was surprised to see the headline article on NFL.com was about him. One of the sub-articles was about him being underrated in the top 100 list, which was not what I expected to see there.

I don't watch this stuff either. I just think that what it really is is that they are just trying to recapture the magic of the America's Game format. Also they did the Top 100 of all time which was ok but now they've gotta just keep milking and milking. They remind me of vh1 doing that " I love the 80s" then "I love the 90s" then "I love the 2000s" then "I love the 70s" then "Best week ever" which are all shot the exact same way. Who cares what NFL network thinks about our players. The media is retarded when it comes to Steelers football anyway.

I'm as big a Ben fan as any but even I would say that's kind of lofty  Now if it were just QB's, I could see a case being made for that.

Ben seems like he's in the right spot to me. When he's "on" he's a top 10 player, no doubt, but he has too many games when he's "off."

I was hoping to see them make the point that Harrison spends 40% of his time in coverage and still comes away with just about a 1 sack per game average. The only other players that bring in that many sacks (Ware, Suggs, Allen) rush the QB every single pass play.

The closest they got was one OT saying that when he drops into coverage it's like a little party in his head, which I thought was funny. Take note, Mr. LeBeau. But they kind of undid that by letting Matt Light call him a defensive end. That seemed like the perfect time to make a correction and bring up his coverage skills. After all, it's a freaking 3 minute profile on the player. They can't mention what he does almost half the time? I think they should, especially since it's something he's good at, just like rushing the passer.

A 3 minute profile that essentially consists of talking heads saying "yeah, he's really good" in vaguely different ways. Or saying something utterly obvious that we all know.

Josh Cribbs was talking about a game against Ben from some years ago. It's not even based on specific performances this season.

It's a shame. because it would be more fun to see what players really thought of each other - as someone else said, a more America's Game approach, where you're getting little insights as to how someone might prepare differently for Eli rather than Ben (for example). Or at least include some break down of plays where they show why player X is different to player Y (like they do with draft prospects, showing ball carrier vision and whatnot).

They want us to be impressed that we are seeing the players at all. Like it's some kind of coup, like the players aren't fame-starved. I haven't watched much of that show (probably like 10 different guys total), but they almost never, ever offer any kind of insight at all. And we're supposed to think it's valid because the players voted? They're as stupid as anybody on any random message board. Ray Lewis the 4th best player in the league last year? You can stop right there. These guys are as dumb as the rest of us.

It's totally a shame, because this is a great opportunity, and they don't seem to be making an effort at all. They didn't even make sure people understood the criteria.
