You notice the trolls were quiet during the 4 game winning streak, as soon as the team loses a game they're back .

It's like a victory for the Tomlin bashers. If they could only get at his 'never losing season'.

People are jumping the gun here. Good god.

Last time I checked, Steelers had 6 games to play and they don't play another game for 10 days. Plenty of time to recuperate for the Bungles.

Steelers had a bad game. Get over it. It was the Browns' Super Bowl and they won. Browns won't play that good again.... definitely not at Heinz Field in 3 weeks.

Way too much blame to go around, but let's give credit to Baker and the Browns. They were the better team. They made the plays on defense. If not for some penalties, they would have shut us out. Offensively, Baker was on his game. He did what no other qb over the past 4 games could do, scramble. Our pass rush has been collapsing pockets with much less mobile qbs. And for the first time since Fitz showed up, our pass rush looked undisciplined. They allowed him to break contain by over pursuing. That should have been a point of emphasis in the second half. That adjustment should have been made. But it wasn't. And that will haunt us if we don't address it because our pass rush is the only thing keeping this team afloat.

Extra time off to prepare for the worst team in football. At least we don't have a documented history of laying eggs in games like these.

We didn't have a losing record last season. How much fun was that? I guess the Tomlin-apologists are just happy about winning percentages and not that we squandered one of the most talented offenses ever assembled. That's really what's important, winning percentages. Just ask the Pats if they would give up their trophies since they haven't had a losing season.

I guess I'll chew on 8-7 in the post season. That is impressive, my friend. Way to take a talented team to the playoffs. Barely win half your games. I'm sure the team relishes in the fact that they are .533 in the playoffs. There should be a plaque put up right beside our Lombardis that heralds Tomlins amazing accomplishments.

Btw, since I'm chewing, Cowher went 12-9 in the playoffs and Noll 16-8. Keep apologizing. I'll keep chewing.

    Hey Glory Days.

Yes, I am with you. We have beaten better teams over the past four weeks. We came out confused and played that way most of the game. I have a rather lengthy thread that I am putting together and debating whether to post. It explains my theory of us losing our "Edge" since the Super Bowl XLIII days and how we have become somewhat soft.

The Steelers have a huge bullseye on their back, no matter their record or personnel. This in part is due to our story-book franchise. We were the Baddest Bully on the Block for many decades. Teams know that. They think that by beating us they have accomplished a heck of a whole lot. They want to, and sometimes like last night, elevate their game when they see us on the schedule whether we are competitive or not.

Our prior reputation precedes us. Why do you think we get so many Prime Time games? Shoot, even the schedule makers know all that which I have just stated here. Unfortunately, the ghosts of the past are not playing for us anymore. So, as of right now we are just a phantom of that Big Bad Bully that we need to re-establish. It will take at least two more seasons for the non-losing post season to fall but we have him signed.

    Hey Glory Days.

Yes, the squandering and mismanagement of our "O" is a killer. We had three HOFs with BBB and others. This management really F-ed up that pool of talent as I look at the rear-view mirror. A lot of great wins but really nothing to show for them. It is the rings that count. No one can convince me otherwise that if we had a decent "D" to complement that "O" that we would not have had several more rings. Unfortunately, this administration just did not know how to manage it. The saddest part is that the main strength of our head administrator is supposedly defense. STEELWINDS

    Hey Heinz.

I stated this a few minutes ago. We are the STEELERS. We are every teams' most important game. Why do you think we get so much national air time? STEELWINDS AKA The East Side Kid

His 8-7 post season record depends on how you classify the Bengals wildcard game in '16.
    7-8 in my book.:goofy:

The killer B's didn't do much on their own. Tomlin has won with talented players before. Player leadership is the difference.

He's not the coach that can take us to the next level. That's proven. Those superbowl appearances can't be credited to him. Just like, that superbowl that Tampa bay can't be accredited to chucky. That was Tony Dungy's superbowl built (caliber) team. Build your team and win with it. This is what Tomlin can't do

    Yep

I think this game against the Bengals is going to be very telling about the state of our team and of our coach. The Bengals had better be our sacrificial lamb. I don't care if we have a janitor at center, there better be holes that I could run through. MR better be accurate. WRs better catch everything thrown to them. Our secondary better shut all that deep pass crap down.

We had better win by at least 21 and have the game in hand in the third and not look back.

If not, we should start looking to next year, and a new HC. Screw all the apologists. It is high time that MT earns his paycheck and prepares a team to win.
