Mike Vick is a washed up QB. So his underwhelming performance was totally expected. Vick gets no blame from me.

However Mike Tomlin and Todd Haley were absolutely HOT PUTRID GARBAGE this evening with assinine decision making and atrocious play calling.

I have been a Tomlin supporter for a while but it is now crystal clear to me that the only reason he is still coaching on this team, is because of Ben.

They literally should have let Vick run around more. He is still decent at that. Instead, they tried the cure offense that only an elite QB like Ben can manage.

I honestly do not know how anyone can't see how truly terrible a coach he is. Just dumb

Bad game management, esp in crunch time. Holding on to a special ed' FG kicker. Trying to "develop" CB Blake WHILE STILL KEEPING HIM AS A STARTER (terrible concept), losing to an 0-3 team AT HOME. Aka, Steelers still have NO home filed advantage.

Our record against teams with zero wins is laughable. If we can't win this game , I don't see us winning more then 1 game in the next 5 weeks. That puts us at 3-6 when Ben comes back. I think the season is lost. Really sucks that we lost Ben. If he plays tonight we destroy the Ravens. They are really bad. With out Ben we are really bad.

This is what's most troubling to me. When you play the league's toughest schedule and you get an 0-3 team at home, you must win that game. If Ben is out five more games, I don't see how we win any of them. This schedule is no joke even if we had Ben. If I'm right and they are 2-7 when he gets back, this season is over.

I'm glad to see that there are some with the same opinion I have of Tomlin, or should I say FACT. The guy is a joke! Take away Ben, Bell and Brown and he is back to being a coordinator at best! I can no longer stand to see him on the sideline chewing his gum, arms crossed acting like a spoiled little rich girl not getting her way when things are going bad. Get your a$$ over and talk to the players, don't give them the silent treatment. He sure seems to talk to them when things go right. Good coaches speak to their players and coach them up through the good and bad.

It's OBVEIOUS the guy sucks when you lose to the worst teams in the league year in and year out. And his post game interviews are sickening, he says the same crap over and over and over. You're one of highest paid coaches in the league, start doing your job and earn your paycheck. Sick of this guy!

Out of interest, what HC would look good without his best players?

LOL. I get it, people are upset but wow. If Ben played last night, they win easy. They almost won with freaking Vick who couldnt pass for more yards then Bell ran for.

Just stating that those are arguably THE best players in the league. You should be able to beat crap teams with THE best players in the game should you not? So why do we see the same stupid mistakes that cause those losses? Because Tomlin has no clue how to game plan, get his players pumped and prepared and definitely has no clue how to change the game plan when its not working. On the contrary I do see the polar opposite at times, meaning when something is working we go away from it. Last night is a perfect example, Bell was shredding the D and then you try and put it in Vicks hands. Sorry that is just inexcusable. Even if the OC calls those stupid plays, you are the coach and it's your job to override and make the right decision. It's pretty straight forward. We had 6 chances to put them to bed and didn't because of stupid play calls. At some point you have to look at the leader, which is unfortunately Mike Tomlin!

THIS. It is 100% inexcusable to call 2 pass plays on 3rd and 2 when you KNOW you are going for it on 4th anyway. That is coaching, and that is fact. And don't even get me started on the tackling, which is also coachable. It is the worst I have ever seen. Every yr gets a little worse under Mikey T. We are stuck with him for at least another 5 yrs unfortunately. The biggest shame of all is he is completely wasting what good yrs we have left of #7. Wait til the next Kordell shows up and we are playing dominos with the Jaguars and Browns!! Wonder what the "standard" will be then? #1pick???? Pitiful.

I think Mike Tomlin got infatuated with the Vick 10 of ten years ago... That 4th and 1 when Vick was just running for the stick on his own is a college type play, you are lucky to do that in the pros even with the best of athletes.
