Positives from Denver, though they're not looking for them.

Kicking game esp. specialists were an asset.

    Suisham
    2/2 FG
    5/5 Punts
    Butler repped himself well

Down on the 5 was significant

Antonio Brown's punt return game was a positive, esp the return that put them in a good position to score.

Not enough positives late in the game.

Good news on the injury front:

    James Harrison worked out yesterday.
He will run tomorrow and see where he is.
We'll work him up and see how knee responds.

Troy has right calf strain may limit him in preps this week.
R Foster appears to be fine, as does Gilbert. He might be limited early in week, but won't keep him out of game this week.

Optical migraine for Foster and they played it safe with that.

Lots of usual props to upcoming opposing team...

Evaluated the tape and had a productive meeting yestereday.

Need to rachet it up and correct some things and prepare for this week.

Unhappy with how Denver ran on us.

Didn't preform well enough in regards to defending the no-huddle.

Dwyer represented himself well, and will likely get more reps because of that. He earned it.

And here I thought he was poked in the eye.

As a life-long migraine sufferer, I can't blame that decision. I just hope it doesn't come up very often for him.

Said Adams repped himself well until the end.

Colon still learning the G position but did some good things.

Won't say if we'll dress an 8th lineman on Sunday.

Desires to utilize Rainey more. Wouldn't elaborate.

About the 3 wide usage at Denver:
We feel comfortable with 3, 4. That personnel group was consistent. We utilized it.

Joked that James Harrison was not the emergency snapper after being asked about last night's Raiders game.

Wouldn't evaluate officials, said he preffered to keep his money in his pocket. Lol

    Presser over.

Same here, Ray. Well, not life long, but anyway. Yeah, he eluded to playing it safe because it was head related. It could have been triggered by the shot he took to the face on one of Dwyer's run plays.

Good news on the Injury front for sure....I am glad that Dwyer has earned more Reps...Against the Jets we will have to run the ball a lot better if we expect to win....

the optical migraine can act like all different types of things including thinking you have a detached retna. caution was the right way to play that one.

i agree and have mentioned i didn't care for how rainey was used.

    Damned straight.

I can't remember who said it a few weeks ago on here, but increasingly our d seems to be a little less "overwhelmingly threatening" and more "a bit of a challenge". I hope this is just week 1 blues, though.

Btw, did Heyward play much last night? I had to watch a lot of the game on a train on catch-up. so didn't have the commentary up, or a particualrly clear picture.

Hopefully we dress 9. I would be surprised if no gets hurt on the oline on sunday. And I hope they don't but you will see one of our backups in the game.

I not sure they trust Rainey yet. He's such a small guy. But the guy from the Bengals (Hawkins) represented his self well last night for a small guy.

Thanks, TTF - was hoping for some good info on the O-line injuries. I too thought Adams was servicable until the last few minutes. We need James back, sure do miss him on the field.

Just to be clear... you're saying it's likely we suffer 4 major offensive line injuries in the same game? Has that ever happened to any team, ever, in history?

You don't fix a problem of quality with quantity. More awful tublets on the bench won't solve anything and will take away from wherever we were going to use those roster spots.

I had one in my life and never want another one. I had to drive from NJ to Long Island at 1am no less, that was a brutal drive. :kapow:

We lost two in one game. Our offensive lineman has PROVED to us that they can't get through one game without an injury. How many different line combination did we have last year? 9. The most in the NFL. And that wasn't the first year. We have been shuffling lineman around for at least two years. I don't know if its bad luck or what but we need them.

Here's a thought on Harrison...supposedly he has been doing awesome in practice....how about instead of busting his ass in practice all week and his knee swelling up...hold him out and let him play the damn game instead...
