It looks like the only coaching change will be Ray Sherman being replaced. He was called out of retirement as a last minute replacement for Daryl Drake and nearing 70 years old probably wants to go back to retirement.

" Obviously, I had to do this end of the year Presser...I acknowledge that, I accept that, I embrace that...Such is life in the National Football League, So to speak...

We our in the process of evaluating the men, no page of my intellectual mind will go unturned...We will unleash Hell at the pro days and combines...This is part of the journey that we embrace, and things of that nature...

    Questions ? "

I think when smart people talk they don't try to talk like they are intelligent. They know they are and don't have any reason to try and convince anyone. People who are not very intelligent try and convey that they are by using repetitive cliche's and weird wording hoping you think they have more upstairs than they really do. I don't hear any other coach in the NFL talk gibberish nonsense like our HC. Very canned and non original repetitive babble. Nothing specific and all generalities that most already know. JMO.

"Obviously it is me, I embrace the challenges that lie ahead...You think I have the time to leave my duties as Coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers to shoot the ****, so to speak with y'all... This team as currently constructed did not live up to the standard is the standard philosophy, that embodies this franchise... Now, If you will...I have some stones to unturn "

I think he does it because he hates talking to the press so he gives them nothing and I thinks it’s great.

Maybe he's going to change his sunglasses to a lighter shade , so he can see what's actually happening on the field.

It's called coachspeak and has been around way before Tomlin and will be around way after.

You talk without saying much. Every coach does it.

Why people try to take his, or any other HC's, words seriously is beyond me. Except for things like injury updates, most coachspeak is just BS meant to do nothing but fulfill their NFL mandated obligations to speak to the press.

I get that but no other coach in the league spouts out cliches like he does. It's just so bizarre. He's like a cartoon character.

There was a lot of grief thrown his way as the season progressed. He was in camp for some reason, when DD passed away he was asked to stay as a replacement. I really do not know what more the team could have done at that point, the young WR guys were really grieving, what Coach worth his weight in salt is available after a season is already started. It really is hard to judge his affectedness (or lack there of) with all the injuries and other crap this team went through. That said, DJ really started coming along nicely as the year progressed, Washington showed promise. Just having a Grandfatherly presence may have helped the young guys emotionally during a difficult time. I won't criticize a guy put in place under these circumstances, but yes we need a new WR Coach.
