For all of you whining about how Tomlin needs to be fired here are some reasons why that will never happen: 1. The Steelers value stability above all else. How many times has "3 coaches in 30 years" been mentioned as a point of pride. 2. Tomlin won a Super Bowl. How many other coaches can say that? 3. Tomlin has never had a losing season. How many other coaches can say that? 4. Tomlin's career W-L percentage is 0.651. That's excellent. 5. Tomlin is beloved by his players. 6. At worst, the team is going to be 11-6 this year. That's still a pretty good record. 7. The Rooney Rule. The Rooneys are very proud of their rule and the fact that they have one of the few black head coaches in the NFL. 8. Lastly, there is no one better to replace him with. Unless you can find a better replacement then there's no chance Tomlin is fired. In short, Tomlin will leave on his own terms. He ain't getting fired. Sorry, Tomlin haters.
