This is old news but I think Tomlin wasn't happy with what Harbaugh had to say in the locker room after the Ravens beat the Steelers a couple of weeks ago. Harbaugh went on about how the tougher team won and the Ravens were mentally tougher according to Darren Sharper he played with Tomlin in college.

Hate to be a thorn in the ass but I thought they played tougher than us this past week as well. We definitely beat them, but they were knocking us around with frequency out there.

We're not an overly physical team anymore. Clark can blow up guys, Timmons is pretty physical at times, and Hampton can still be very physical if he can shed the blockers, but we're not the same violent team we were in years past

what game were you watching? Their defense looked soft in both games and the offense didnt score 1 td in the first one... thats far from tough

I'm not suggesting tough means good or better, but rather that they were the more physical team in both games. For as soft as their defense looked, ours wasn't any more physical. I didn't see Ngata get knocked on his back by our FB! Like I said, we beat them fair and square and made more plays to do so, but they smacked us more than we smacked them.

That's the issue. The Ravens get up to out-physical the Steelers because they see them as "THE TEAM" they need to beat to prove themselves. The Steelers don't and have realized they will get fined and penalized for playing that way.

Actually, I saw an article last night, where Tomlin said he has a tradition, of meeting his men at the locker room door, after the game, and when he saw that his players were leaving the field, and going to get into the locker room ahead of him, he was in a hurry to get there before them.
Now, some post game clips I`ve seen, from previous games, suggest there is truth to this comment, or it could just b his politically correct, excuse for not showing respect/love, to Harbaugh...
Either way, I have no problem with it...
    Screw them... They`re the Ravens!!!

I think Steve McClendon is gonna automatically fix this problem when he gets more consistent playing time. He seems to me like he's gonna be a guy that people fear. I agree that we are not NEARLY as physical as we used to be and I really HATE to have to say that. I just don't feel like people fear us anymore.

As far as the handshake goes Tomlin told the exact reason that he was trying to get off the field. It had nothing to do with any vindictive agenda. If you ever see Tomlin on NFL Films you know that he always greets the players as they walk in to the locker room. He wanted to get to the locker room before the players started filing in there. That's the reason he was trying to get off the field. He said it. I believe him. I like the fact that he does that. I saw some of the footage of him greeting them after this win and he was really bragging on Beachum. There were also some on here who were bragging on him as well. They should all feel good knowing that Tomlin is proud of him as well.
