The Steelers aren't going to sign some 40 year old RB, their backup RBs play special teams.

Regardless who we have or who we get it's going to rely on the offensive line doing a decent job.

They aren't getting paid to run though, Gore looked his age with the Jets.

yea, he'd have been 1st on our team last year in attempts and 2nd in yards. 3.5 per carry, yea his lowest of his career but also in the jets offense.

At this point I'd take Bell over Gurley. Bell's issues were not related to injury. Bell's issues were related to contract (Steelers), moving on to a bad organization (Jets), and lack of more opportunities (Chiefs).

I think your last two points had a little bad attitude/inflated ego added in there as well

Supposedly the renewed articles of paying attention to detail makes the RB spot interesting... currently I believe RB is not a concern even if we are injury minded about it... until I see it both included and utilized. If they try and make it a thing my concerns shift to firstly the state of the line and their production and in the given it’s working, the known lack of “not” running the wheels off of the damn back come to mind. Get creative staff! Both situationally and longevity minded

his injuries and the other “what the hooey’s” didn’t seem to impact his offer from the front office. As fans, quite a few of us were hoping that it would have initially... and are ultimately greatful he didn’t sign the deal.

in reality, his injuries were an issue and his overhyped attitude were an issue and when you mix that in with the fact that whether his wheels were run bald or not, his heart beat for the team/sport aspect of it has more than apparently flat lined.

    Or shorter, he sucks.

He didn’t get more opportunities in KC because he wasn’t good enough.

If only Bell wanted to play football, we would be having a different conversation imo. He checked out when signing with the Jets for $$$.

On top of being a solid backup, he would be quite a nice mentor for Harris to have.
