Only 16 catches last year, 17 year before that. But 1,600 yards rushing. I doubt he has a Bell-level of pass catching or blocking ability, which is why he would be the back up.

    Wouldn't mind this guy either.

David Johnson's 41.5 vertical is pretty impressive.

I hope they don't draft a Johnson this year. We heard about one coach's Johnson enough last season...

I basically like the players they are talking to, and our hunches were right that TE, edge rusher, CB and back up RB would be looked at but what's up with no safety interest? Please don't tell me they are standing pat with what they have, including keeping a wildly overpaid/poorly performing Polamalu.

I stand corrected, they met with Cody Prewitt, a supposed Polamalu clone, including long hair.

That list is just over 50% of their interviews.

It's early in the process yet but I think Mitchel will be better in year two and they also have Shark, hopefully he's ready to step in.

I dont think Troy will be back, maybe if he takes a pay cut.

Well, I'm sure they've spoken with several other players this week, and at the senior bowl. The list of players they wine and dine over the next couple months has much more meaning.

safeties under contract coming to camp for now:

    troy
    Mitchell
    Thomas
    ventrone
    Dangerfield
darby-- ranked at #13 safety in last years draft
lewis-- ranked #10 in last years draft
fogg-- listed as a cb but has played safety as well
    wild

it's not like they are not flooding camp with potential safeties. there are more safeties to look at than any other position right now. with Pruitt, even more. I agree though I want some safety help brought in as much as cb.

None of those names make me feel very confident. Shark seems to be hurt all the time.

Exactly, they have the chance to interview 60 guys for 15 minutes at the combine, but can bring 30 guys to Pittsburgh for an all day visit. If the draft falls right, I'm sure they pick a lot from those 30.
