No TJ or Highsmith tomorrow for the Steelers

Looks like you will see a lot of Melvin Ingram, and Jamir Jones.

I stood up a lot for Jamir Jones to make this team, so he better show me something and not let me down or I will look like an idiot.

Anyway, this doesn't help us with no TJ, hopefully, he and Highsmith will be good to go by Week 4 against Aaron Rodgers and Green Bay.

I'm with you. I'd rather him miss one game than come back too soon and miss 5-6 games.

I’d be surprised if Joseph was elevated. Need some OLB’s.

Like said it's smart to rest both. Highsmith already was nursing the injury and reaggravated it against the faders.

Hopefully Haden and Bush don't do the same.

I'd like to see Rudolph with 24+ points if Ben hurts his pinky toe.

I can't say I'm surprised, but 1-2 looks like a very strong possibility right now. They will have four starters in the front seven out, including two stud pass rushers. I can see the Bengals lighting them up.

Going to go out on a limb here and say Taco hasn't been there long enough to know the playbook yet.

True but I wasn't expecting them to promote him I was thinking with the guys they have out they would have tried to get more depth at other thin positions not activate a WR.

This team is 1988 bad. Yes.... it's that awful. For those old enough to remember.

Maybe so, but once a Steeler ALWAYS a Steeler.
Don't know about anyone else on here, but they've given me way too much joy for me to bail out because it looks like we're heading for some tough times.

You just keep on being you. They beat one of the best teams in the league, then lost with half of the defense injured. The injuries are probably going to cost them tomorrow's game, too, but there is at least a chance they get most of those guys back for Week 4.

Now i got to go see who was on the '88 team. Was it a rebuilding year Heinz?

The '88 season was horrendous. For the '89 season, my dad (God rest his always eternally optimistic soul) took me to the regular season opener against the Browns at Three Rivers. They got crushed 51-0. They got hammered by Cincy the next week 41-10 or thereabouts. Anyway, I begged Pap to leave halfway through the third quarter. "No, we came to watch the Steelers play, good or bad. You have to learn to have a little faith. What did I tell you abut the Pirates in '79? You wait, this team will make the playoffs." We sat there until the final gun. I wasn't upset with him at all. That was my dad. To him, true fans are there when things are good....and bad. The best part of it was, he was right. Damned if they didn't come back and make the playoffs. Beat Houston then dropped a really hard fought game to Denver at Mile High. Might have been Chuck Noll's finest coaching accomplishment. Anyway, nothing to do about the T.J. Watt injury I know, just a story I love to tell about my dad. Man, I miss him.
