We’ve already done this. I’m pretty sure the Mods don’t want this type of discussion all over again. SDOT is trying to stir up problems just to agitate.

Good take. I'm of the opinion that Jackson is going to take a pounding if and until he develops the ability to throw to the sidelines.

While I agree about the kneeling thing the comment does have some merit......

Big Al a Military Vet war Hero on a team full of kneelers and A coach that totally supports it. I don’t think he will, would be disappointed in him if he does but that’s an issue they have to work thru...... Also I hate he signed with them and we get nothing in return but I don’t blame him for making at least another 8mil before he quits!!

This is true, this is a down side if the Refs want to call holding.. As most know holding can be called on ever play someone is always holding.. Keeping your hands insde is the key so technique not actual skill has more with the calling of a hold..

How many holds did the Ravens have compared to us last season? This is a interesting point you raised though..I look forward to more discussion thank you..

al won't have to run block well or pass protect because their qb takes off running. put a pocket qb in their system if jackson gets hurt and it could go south real quick.

It has regressed last season a bit, he also couldn't stop Myles Garrett at all until, Garrett got Covid, Covid slowed old Myles down a bit

I looked at offensive holding stats last year. The NFL may be devaluing pass rushers because there were fewer offensive holding calls last year than in the past ten years, if my memory is correct. How many times was an arm around TJ Watt's neck that wasn't called a hold? Probably at least one a game. Teams will always have to have a pass rush to keep QBs in check, but defenses are evolving into more coverage with the base defense being played less and less.

How nice, AV is still trying to help the Steelers win. Make sure you are in the lineup, AV, we appreciate it!

If that is the case and he is butt hurt about not even getting an offer I hope they do flip him to RT and TJ shreds him.

[A] Compensatory Free Agent (“CFA”) shall be defined as an Unrestricted Free Agent (“UFA”) who: (i) signed with a new Club during the prior free agency signing period […] prior to 4:00 p.m., New York time, on the Monday following the NFL Draft for that League Year

If I'm reading that correctly, any free agents signed after Monday at 4 PM following the draft do NOT count toward the comp picks.

I respect his military service, but he isn't a Steeler anymore and he fired the first shot. However, his comment about the Steelers WR is both funny and true.

Now, you can go back to the TB board and continue professing your love for all things AB.

You realize Myles Garrett is a handful for a number of tackles right? There is a reason he went #1 overall.

For a fun exercise go see how he did compared to Chuck Okorafor.

What's really funny is that there are actual people on this board and in our online community that have been propping AV up for the last two years as his play declined based not on his performance but because of the Chicago game.

Who's they? I respect everything AV did from college until signing with the Ravens. He volunteered to put his life on the line and give the last full measure of devotion for his country should it come to that. He changed his body to fit a position in the NFL and learned the position to the point he became a starting left tackle in the league. Unfortunately time catches up to us all. The Steelers picked the time to move on because it was already rebuild time. He is betting on himself, so good for him. However when a statement is made that he chose a team because they play your old team twice, well yeah I hope the Steelers make him regret that choice. Sorry not sorry.
