Didn't Practice: Troy, B. Batch, Gilbert, Sylvester, and Woodley.

    Limited: Dywer and Mendenhall

Full: Clark, B. Johnson, and Redman

Dwyer said he'll play vs. Giants even though he was limited today.

Redman: "I felt like last week I mighta been able to go out there but who knows what could have happened. I could have tweaked it again."

Note: The team will be travelling to the game in NY on Sunday morning, instead of Saturday, due to the aftermath of Sandy.

For the Giants: WR Victor Cruz and DT Rocky Bernard both upgraded on Thursday to practice fully. Ahmad Bradshaw (foot), Antrel Rolle (concussion), C D.Baas (ankle/elbow), LB K.Rivers (calf) upgraded to limited participation. Pascoe (ankle), Jacquian Williams (knee), Chase Blackburn (hamstring) did not practice.

I don't like that we're travelling on Sunday instead of Saturday.

Also don't like to hear that Redman might be the only RB we have available to us. He's still battling a high ankle sprain and although he said he can play through it, he also said it's still painful. If it's painful to cut on or when he accelerates, he's not going to be 100% effective.

I know, I wasn't thrilled about it either. We need Dwyer or Mendy at or near 100% for this game, too. I don't know the severity of Redman's ankle. Definitely a full plate for Sunday.

I'm also worried about our RB situation. Why haven't we signed a healthy body to be a back up and a practice guy? What about that Ford guy from preseason?

It also blows that they have to wait until Sunday to fly in... Yikes.

We have no money to sign people, and besides, we have a ton of RB's on the roster, just they all keep getting hurt at the same time

Yes, we have RB's, but like you said, they are all on the limp, so why not bring someone in? Ford is an example of a guy that was here, won't cost much and probably isn't on a team at the moment.

Not that I'm for or against this type of move...but just out of curiosity and for conversational purposes...who are you going to cut to bring him in? Charlie? Or ?

Arriving in NY on sunday could be a good thing... less time for anyone or anything to rent any space in the membrain...able to stay focused. :superman:

Dwyer will play IMO ,but will not get a large work load IMO....I think Redman was ready last week ,so he should be close to 100% this week....I think Redman and Rainey will have to taje most of the load....With the way the Giants rush and the way they cover this should be a great week for RB'S in the passing game....Redman is coming off a 100 yard receptio day in which he ran good routes and piled up YAC yards,he could have another big day...I think he is a true student of the game he knows how to read coverage and he kows where the weak spots are on the field against certain coverages....

As to the coming in on Gameday stuff,,I actually like that.....No dealing with Hotels, strange Beds,Giants fans and all that type of stuff...

Flying in Sunday is a bad thing, anytime you mess with a
players routine it is bad. I was going to pick the Steelers to win
    maybe not now?

Since the game is a 430 game flying in Sunday may actually be a good thing.

i think rainey is the perfect weapon against an aggressive front like they have. their DB's have to account for the speed of our receivers, the front will be after ben, and i would put rainey out on the edge or against a LB all day long. this will be the chinque in their armor. we are not going to line it up and rush for a hundred yards against these guys like cinci and wash. i see the lines true colors coming through in this one, so we need to take advantage of it.

the trouble with those high ankle sprains is until they are fully healed, it is so easy for it to happen again, setting him back further. time heals those. will j. can run the ball too if he and rainey are lined up together. this may not be that line it up and run the ball at them week most think. we will have to be innovative.

I wasn't necessarily saying this new back (Ford) would be active on game day, but he would at least be a healthy body in practice and could potentially dress if needed. I'm worried about the RB situation as it seems we'll only have one 'fully' healthy back on Sunday with Dwyer not practicing today. With a high ankle sprain, Redman may not last too long, then we're down to Batch (shin) and Rainey... I guess they could give Johnson a carry or two, but wow, that would be rough.

rainey proved at Fla. he could run it between the tackles. he gets lost and is so fast through the hole. it may limit our runs alittle, but for a game or part of a game, he can handle it. i still think we drop back and throw to he and johnson and miller on all the replacement LB'ers. paulson could be another guy with a big day. they have to stay on our wr's or it's going to be a long day for them, but to keep ben upright we have to spread the ball to guys that are not the norm.

It's such a short flight it's ridiculous, I've done it, this has no bearing on the game. Like you said, it's 4:30, not a 1:00 start.

batch is probable. he makes me feel better in pass protection for ben. batch is a decent back. he's still coming back from a knee injury most forget. i like all our backs and like the different things they bring. we don't have to be this way or that way to give the offense an identity. we can do alot of things with these guys. i've never thought we were outmanned, no matter who is in there.
