-Were we severely -and shamefully- outcoached last week? I mean, our O scored 23 points on them, NE 45! And, how about our #1 D receiving 23 points in regulation, while NE only 10?
-We weren't prepared to face a Tebow offense. Why
-Did we gave NE some clues on how to attack Denver and stop them (2nd half)?
-Lack of pressure on Tebow was because our DL injuries or underperformance by our LBs?
-Sure, Gay & Taylor could be pointed as scapegoats, but are they THAT worse than NE DBs?

Tebow was getting stuffed on the option plays.

I think I attribute that to Wilfork and the DE taking care of business and letting the LB's roam free. Wilfork still gets the job done.

Didn't like Lebeau's game plan against Denver, it went against everything his defense is about.

I credit it partially to the Pats putting up 14 on their first two drives, and we put up 6. The Pats defense could then tee of on Tebow, whereas we were always playing cautious to prevent the big play (THAT sure didn't work). Then, after the 2nd quarter meltdown, we were playing from behind. I think that dramatically shifted what we were going to do. Coming away with FGs instead of TDs make s a big difference in how the game is played. I also think it affects players' confidence levels on both sides of the ball.

I think that it was the play of New England's d-line; it allowed the rest of the defense to play normal.
    Also NE's offense produced better.
    That simple

Exaclty, I didn't like it either. It's like he let Tebow dictate the game plan rather than us playing our game and leaving it up to tebow to beat a traditional base defense, which he wouldn't have been able to do.

And this. Have to score TD's rather than FG's. So very important in today's NFL where any Joe Blow QB can march down the field on the last drive, hoping for a PI (which is likely) or soft coverage.

Out coached big time, and CB's that could not cover the other teams receivers
and DC that didn't realize this and make changes? What the F were you thinking about Dick/Tomlin?

Goes to show what a team can do when the Head Coach makes sure his team has an effective game plan going in.

When you have a great coach who knows how to make adjustments and make the best use of the talent he has, plus a great CONSISTENT QB the result is a thrashing of a mediocre team.
When you have a mediocre coach who is confused and lost combined with a INCONSISTENT QB who is always playing supposedly hurt the result is losing to a mediocre team.
The result of the N.E.-Denver game should make the Steeler organization even more embarrassed at the way they played in Denver.
#1 Defense? Are you kidding me?

It is what it is, the coaches game planned against a team that couldn't pass and the 8 yards total in the first quarter proved it. What killed us is the fact that any team that is capable of running the ball can beat us now, remember Houston? The fact that the D-line is now very average with Hood as a starter, a star OLB is hampered by a hamstring issue, the other recovering from 2 back surgeries, and a team leading tackler on the bench with sickle trait...We were in a bad place. But I think if the team played a "normal" gameplan and then gave up 250 yards on the ground and we lost there would those ,including myself, that would have been screaming to but 10 guys in the box as Tebow can't throw. We failed as the D-line couldn't shed blocks, the LBs couldn't get pressure because of the D-Line and that meant Taylor and Gay had to cover recievers for a full minute sometimes, if Tebow was a good QB the score would have looked like the NE score over Denver.

I think I am going to blame it on the injuries.....I think if we are healthy we demolish them

Pats D is a lot quicker than the Steelers D. The Steelers D looked painfully slow all year, including Troy.

Ok New England up 14-7 at home after the 1st qtr

Pittsburgh up 6-0 on the road after the 1st qtr and our DEF was playing more cautious than NEW England?

First off, Denver didn't score till the 2nd Quarter, New England was up 14-0 at the end of the 1st. But that isn't the point. The psyche of the team plays a huge role in how the players perform. New England was up 14-0 out of the gate so the threat of a big play doesn't weigh as heavy. Even if you give up a TD you're still up 7 agaisnt a team with a horrible QB. In our case, we settled for 2 field goals and 1 big play from Denver and we are losing...which is exactly what happened. Even Pro's doubt themselves..and I have no doubt that after the first Denver TD some on the team starting thinking that it was quite possible to lose. We puckered up and Denver got the confidence that they could win. Let a bad team hang around long enough...

Brady and Co. didn't give Denver that hope. They established early and often who was the better team.

We did exactly the opposite, we dared them to beat us with the big play and they did just that, we showed no respect for the passing game and they killed us for it.

Our defensive scheme last week was awful. Just awful. Our base zone coverage scheme was perfect to keep them in check, and yet we put 8-9 in the box and played man against some very athletic WRs. There was no way that Denver could march the ball down the field against our base scheme on a regular basis.
