There were at least three coaching gaffes in last night's game:

    1. Going conservative when you have a chance to keep the ball from Brady. This isn't your Cowher/Bettis Steelers, and these are the Brady-led Patriots. That one's on Haley.
    2. Not having a double-team on Gronk. Imagine if no one doubled Brown. It is not like we have a shut-down corner. Heck, triple cover him if you have to and make someone, anyone, else beat you. The two point conversion was truly sad. If we defend that, a chip shot field goal wins it, and we probably don't try for the TD. That one's on Butler.
    3. Lack of communication at the end. After the review (which against the Pats you have to know is going against you), why don't you have two plays called in the huddle? I think the pass at the end was the right call, but the chaos surrounding it spelled our doom. That one's on Tomlin/Haley.
For a game that other than the last three minutes was called pretty good with a sound strategy, it was sad to see it end on bone-headedness. Kudos to the players for stepping up, especially after Brown went down. This team does have resilience.

Agree 100% on everything you said. With less than 5 minutes to go, with a chance to ice the game, Haley calls the most conservative plays ever. I was screaming at the TV.
Why not double Gronk??? At least on the 2 point conversion!!! Cover him like it was a punt return, 2 guys.

I will not disagree our coaching was better than usual vs these guys but I will say the loss is on them. If they control the ball with 3 min left game over, if we don't wet our pants and play zone Gronk don't run free. Hope we fix these for our playoff run and all will be good!!!!!

Steelers are a really good football team, problem is Pats been here way too many times. They don't clench their butthole like we did

On the Slant pass, even if it comes from the Coaches, you know that there isn't a lot of time left.. be smart.. yes we all wanted Ben to go for the TD and the win, but as a veteran qb, he has to just throw the ball away there..

Tomlin and coaches on sideline acting like fans awaiting the officials call on the Jessie James TD. A coach and staff if, they had their heads together, would have been coaching Ben on their next play if needed. And it was needed.
