Yeah, I get what you're saying. I'm just not as interested as I used to be. Just making a personal choice. I don't expect the Steelers to fire Tomlin regardless of what I do.

 

They make way more money from you watching games.

 

How is this not a Tomlin bashing thread? You are calling out his discipline problems, game planning, preparation, clock management, playing down to "lesser" teams, and wondering why he gets a pass in the media.

Don't get me wrong. I have nothing against Tomlin bashing threads, and this set up seems like one. Or, is this a Tomlin bashing thread by way of medial bashing for not properly bashing Tomlin? Again, no arguments from me.

 

The companies who broadcast games have already paid out. TV revenue is shared. Teams get close to $300M annually as shared revenue.

It's pretty silly to think one person's protest will disrupt any of that. Remember all the conservatives who boycotted the NFL over kneeling before the flag? NFL viewership is way up since then after seemingly tens of thousands of people boycotted the NFL- it didn't change anything.

 

Not the Steelers directly , but rather the NFL and through revenue sharing and TV contracts, the Steelers get their cut.

 

Exactly if people stop watching and the ratings go down then the next contract the money goes down. But for some fake ass fan to say I’m not buying any more Steelers gear like that’s really gonna hurt is silly. If you watch games you’re still helping the Steelers and the NFL to make money. That’s a fact

Chiefs have 1 of if not the best TE in the NFL, say what you will but he receives a lot of passes.
Amari is probowl player and ceedee is a number 1 on any other team.
Cupp is amazing and woods is great, see the Goff years.

Dj I think is turning the corner of not turned, that's definitely an arrow pointing up. JuJu needs that to preform and claypool... Yeah he needs more time.

 

People need to go back and review their pre-season expectations for the year. People who thought we were going 5-12 now think 7-7-1 is an organizational meltdown.

That's why for me while the team looks atrocious but I'm not ready to blow everything up.

 

Most people had the Steelers winning 8-9 games, Vegas had their over/under win total at 8.5.

 

Not “bashing”, merely pointing out a few legitimate criticisms that the NFL media seems to ignore. As you indicate, if any bashing needs to be done it needs to be directed at the media for continually giving Tomlin a free “get off the hot seat” pass.

Just went back and looked at steel machines prediction thread. Nobody predicted less than 7-10 so not sure where you are getting the 5-12.

The meltdown has been occurring for several years. The past 5 seasons have been worse than mediocre with only 2 first round laydowns and 3 missing postseason all together (assuming we miss this year).

Most of us are not ok with those results.
