Bradshaw was also thrwoing the ball with HOFers in his face and HOFers covering his WRs. It was all relative.

Hard to argue with that but I'd still take Bradshaw. You couldn't go wrong with either one in the Super Bowl though. I got to see Montana play in person when he was with the Chiefs. They were playing the Falcons and even though Joe was in the twilight of his career, he looked like the old Joe Cool that night. He threw for about 350 yards and 3 TDs. He was in the zone and it was truly an honor to get to see arguably the greatest QB in the history of the game play. That actually may have been his last season.

Yeah as a kid from the 80s I also have to say that Montana is probably the best ever. I go back and forth between him and Brady really. I think Brady has done more with less. But Joe won 4 Super Bowls and NEVER threw a pick in the Super Bowl! That's ridiculous!

And those HOFers were basically allowed to mug his receivers all the way down the field in those days. Now if you breathe too hard on a receiver you get flagged for PI.

What is the most hilarious is that some of you are apparently going to be haunted by the ghost of BA forever. It is unbelievable how many threads on the front page have devolved into BA discussions. We had like 4 years of those threads and the guy has been gone a year never to return again. Let it go.

I agree. BA discussions are always like the mafia to me. I swear them off and as soon as I think I've left them for good they "pull me back in!!!" And good grief that avatar is killing me. LOL!

It IS hilarious. Think about it. Last year at about this time, BA "retired". I'd say he's having a pretty eventful retirement wouldn't you, Knox? Last year he's not worthy to keep his OC job and this year he's one of the most highly sought after head coaching candidates. Of all the "Luck"! This proves the old adage that truth is stranger than fiction.

I just heard on NFL Network that BA was now a top candidate for the Clowns job.

All I am laughin at, is how hard it becomes to read these threads, when people keep "replying", to each other`s "replies"...
And you wind up with an unreadable, "thin thread", ... with 2 letters per line...
What I remember about Bruce, before we hired him, was...
He was the only O.C., That put up over 400 yards, against Dick Lebeau...
And it was a playoff game...
When he was the O.C. of the Clowns...
But they lost..(Their only playoff game since they been back in the league).
    Point being, yards ain`t everything...
Points matter more... I got no problem with Haley`s approach...
Oh, and by the way, his "Luck" ran out against the Cravens this year...
Could there possibly still be a place for DEFENSE in Roger`s NFL???
Hard to make it happen, but ya gotta keep tryin...
    Fines/penalties be Damned!:godell::butcher:

Well if he gets the job we know the Browns will be hopeless for at least another two years. He's got my vote.
