I didn't really like the Ziggy Hood pick, but not because I thought He sucked, but because I thought He was wrong for our Defense.

    I mean....

Mark Cuban, Terrell Owens, Antonio Cromartie and Shannon Sharpe (repeatedly I might add) have all busted Skip Bayless into oblivion. That said, that takedown by Merril Hoge is now officially second all time among my favorite "Roasted Skip" moments! :drinks:

Ziggy was showing Harrison like workouts, kept hoping that it would translate to him throwing guys around on the field, but it never did! I was like damn this guy is working his ass off! He's going to break out soon!

I think is a very critical draft, if the Steelers nail down some really good pieces it sets them up quite well to maybe spring board to the next level, as long as their current talent develops.

Just nailing 1 guy isn't good do that.

Very critical draft, and given some of the higher choices 3 in the top 49 picks, need to nail some great talent.

Agree 100%. He was a classic 1 gapping 3 tech coming out of college, and we were still requiring our DEs to be mainly 2 gap O line controllers.

I went to the combine event this year and it was honestly the most boring thing I think I've ever seen live. They could have made it exciting for all the fans that went and some of the players would have probably fed off of that but it was intentionally painful to watch live. My son and I ended up leaving after about an hour and a half. My son is one of the biggest sports fans anyone could ever meet, especially football but even he agreed it was time to go.

My son won free VIP tickets through the NFL app. It was at Indy Lucas Oil Stadium (which is awesome to see a game at). I thought it was going to be some exclusive special invite but when we got there we didn't even need to show them the bar code to enter. Anyone could just enter without question. Outside the event was super cool. Michael Pittman Jr and Dayo Odeyingbo were signing autographs which my son got and pictures with. The Colts SB Trophy was on display. Every SB ring was on display from 1 player from the very first SB to the last. All kinds of competitive activities for the kids to do outside.

Once inside it was a snooze fest. There were about 15K inside and they basically led you to a seat and weren't allowed to get up and sit where ever you wanted. No noise whatsoever. The speaker systems were off. Poor Reggie Wayne was giving an interview on the field and you had to literally read his lips to see what he was saying. He tried to rev up the crowd which was laughable cause nobody could hear him. It was an absolute disaster.

I get it. It's mainly for scouts. We watched the 40 yard dash and a couple high jump competitions and then left. I just think it could have been a much more fun event to be at live with more audience participation and the players could feed off of that. I mean why invite the public at all if they didn't want people in there? I've been to funerals that were louder.

Oh' well. Been there done that is how I came away from the experience.

As long as we grab an undersized inside LB and yet another TE, we'll keep this train rolling.

I've been to the combine many, many times. 86 is right, they aren't for the general public.
    anyway...

With the trade for Robinson, there's less pressure to find a WR.
So the focus really is on OT/CB.
I think all the talk about trading up is kind of cute, especially for Jalen Carter.
Pittsburgh basically has 2 first round selections, they need two players that can start.
It see it either way OT/CB or CB/OT

    Round 1: No. 17 overall --------------- OT/CB or CB/OT
    Round 2: Nos. 32 (from Bears), 49 --- OT/CB or CB/OT
Round 3: No. 80 ------------------------ LB or DL
Round 4: No. 120 ----------------------- WR or OL
Round 7: Nos. 241 (from Vikings through Broncos), Don't care
    251* (from Rams) ----------------------- Don't care

I think you’re forgetting how thin we are at olb. After highsmith and watt we don’t have anything of note.

NO PRESSURE to find a WR, NONE. OLB is thin, love to find a STEAL.

OT is critical, so is DLINE and CB.

I think you're going to get a LB in Rd 3. 80th pick should net a worthy one.
I also think that after the draft, the next round of cuts could net a LB.

I'll also say, Mark Madden is a complete idiot and should stick to maybe Hockey or get a job at the local "Suds and Beer"

The Steelers are cocked and load to trade up for the right player.
But should they do so, they'd better be ready with a plan to backfill.

OT - You could trade up and get a very good OT and be OK.
DT - You trade up to get Carter, you leave OT and CB in a precarious situation and loose some footing regarding LB.
CB - You could trade up and get a very good CB, but then OT is a problem again.

On the Depth chart, we have 3 OT's showing. Of the 3, only 1 looks like a legit starter and 2 look like backups.
    I can't get past that.
