Think Quentin Lake will get offered a "Legacy" training camp slot?

Quentin Lake's chances of being drafted just went sailing out the window at the combine. I will be curious to see if he gets some king of "Legacy" invite from the Steelers for their off season training camp.

Combine Results:

Held up at medical checks, so he was not allowed to take part in any interviews.

Pulled up slightly in his 40 yard dash attempt posting an unofficial time of 4.64. Did have an Official 4.59 time making him dead last in the 40 for safeties.

Had to take several retries during the skill drills because he kept turning in the wrong direction.

I still see some sites like Pro Football Network have him being drafted in the 6th or 7th round. His measurables aren't good but he seems to know what he is doing in an actual football game.

 

He's probably a 7th rounder...... Actual in game performance still carries a lot of weight

 

I guess he injured himself at UCLA's Pro Day.

Lake was wearing a backpack and slides during these drills, signifying that he may have been hurt at some point.

 

Funny, The Steelers have 2 picks in the 7th round and there are 2 Family members that should be there. Heyward and Lake; what a crazy 7th round pick up would tht make.

 

I hope not. The only way Lake should end up with the Steelers is if they truly believe he has a shot. They’re not running a fraternity.

I would take Lake in the 7th or a UDFA, because of his football knowledge.

I would take Heyward in the 7th or a UDFA, to replace Derek Watt and his $4.7 million cap hit this year.

 

Conner Heyward is a bull at 5'11" and 230. He is a very versatile athlete with over 500 yards rushing for the Spartans as a Jr. at fullback. He then switched to TE his senior year in which he caught 35 passes for 2 TD's.

 

Both Lake and Heyward went in the 6th.
