They're saying Tomlin is most overrated coach possible ever. Fact or Fiction?

If you review the resume of MT when he was hired as our HC, is it possible that there isn't anyone out there that has the same or better resume in the NFL right now? The argument of who you replace him with is incomprehensible to me. I had never heard of MT before we hired him. Steelers had 2 coaches on staff I thought were going to get the job. I believe there is an abundance of coaching talent out there that elevate to HC positions every year but somehow we don't think any are viable candidates here? One rule in reality is that everyone is replaceable.
I guess when Mike leaves the Steelers will close shop because there won't be anyone qualified to be our leader.

And where are those two candidates you thought were better now? Which head coaching positions did they take? Remind me please

The posts the OP creates are the most knee jerking, comical and overplayed titles regarding the Steelers more so than the combined efforts of Adam Schein, Skip Bayless, Dale Lolley, Mark Madden, the entire ESPN Staff and Pro Football Focus combined.

I am convinced at this point. Why?!

    1st time is an accident.

    2nd time is a choice.

    3rd time is a pattern.

That said and, conversely, he does give many of us quality amounts of schadenfreude. I suppose it does even out but even good laughs can become stale.

The question is how does DJ Metcalf tie into all this?

I'm gonna enjoy bumping these threads when the next coach is worse than Tomlin.

I fully expect that person to be worse, but you know what at least I would know they are trying and took a risk.

    I'll get the ball rolling, more overated than Tomlin;

    Sean Payton. Chew on that.

To be fair, I don't think he was stating the other candidates were necessarily better. Just that he thought he knew who the pool from which the next coach would be selected, but the Steelers found one he hadn't heard of.

Thank you. I hate this line, too. Noll, Cowher, and Tomlin were obscure assistants before the Steelers hired them.

If is the biggest/smallest word used in sports. Also a half inch or less has changed many an outcome especially in golf.

That. Plus we kicked a coach off the team a few years ago and he did pretty good last year.

I am always glad when a Steeler gets inducted in the HOF but I have no idea what criteria they use to put guys in.

Mike Tomlin is 145-78-1 and in Playoffs he is 8-8 (still doesn't have a losing record:) Then again Shula had 347, Halas 324 and Belichick stands at 311. I really don't follow what is needed to get people into the HOF but I don't think Tomlin will get in.

Maybe some other poster can give their thoughts on it.
