People worrying about the nfl being rigged are clamoring after a sport run by McMahon.

    That’s just priceless.

28 out 32 NFL teams belong in the XFL.

Ive been expecting this. With the kneeling controversy and lower ratings, figured someone would try and cash in.

Would have preferred the USFL, I actually liked that. I dont think I watched a single XFL game.

The XFL had promise. Way ahead of its time in certain respects.

They suffered from a few issues.

It was rolled out way too quick and rushed. Too many problems occured because of this.

Lack of talent. Will have to really fix this if they want to make a go of it.

Keep the gimmicks out of it. No wrestling personalities . No chasing the ball at kickoff.

I will never abandon the NFL or the Steelers but I must say the NFL is lacking over the past 10 years, mostly due to rule changes which have confused and slowed down the game.

It has flaws but recently I have found myself more drawn to college football than I have than NFL, as a whole.

I wonder who Vince will get to broadcast it?

McMahon said games will only last 2 hours, mandatory to stand for the anthem, no players will be signed with any criminal records, only 40 man rosters, chance for retired players like chad johnson TO and others who want to play again to sign on, QBs like tebow, RG3 and kapernick leinart, a chance to sign on, I dont expect these 8 teams to make it past maybe 2 seasons........

Going to XFL game is like going to a minor league baseball game...nobody cares and nobody will care...

It's just another rich guy in designer suit whom saw the opportunity of nfl tanking so he is coming back with his BS product... vince mc Mahon is just as money hungry as rest of the nfl owners..

I'll watch, or try to, but I don't see any league ever competing with the NFL for a myriad of reasons. I imagine it will have a short life, but I do like that someone is trying to give the NFL competition.

And just wait until QVC announces it's exclusive blockbuster deal to televise all their games! All the other networks (except maybe ABC) are joined at the hip with the NFL in some fashion.

After reading about this I’ll be surprised if it even makes it off the ground. When he started this twenty years ago he did it with 100 million and a broadcast partner(nbc). Now despite inflation he’s trying to do it with the same amount of money and no broadcast partner. NBC lost 40 million in the deal so I doubt they’ll be likely to give him another shot. He’s going to fund 8 teams with 40 players, coaches, trainers, medical staff, equipment managers etc for 12 million dollars? Lol lol lol lol

How are the games going to be broadcast? Obviously it won’t be on the NFL Network. Long gone are the days that espn had to fill with Aussie rules football and cricket so they’re out as well. Given the track record with NBC the other major networks are highly unlikely to sign on. So that leaves maybe the likes of cw, upn etc.

For those of you that are clamoring for something different because the NFL is rigged. McMahon’s Alpha Enter tainment will own all eight teams. That just screams WWE style scripting. My apologies to those of you that got your hopes up, but that dog don’t hunt.

Or just another rich guy who doesn't like to see people sitting or kneeling during the anthem. Figures if he loses all, it will be a drop in a bucket for him. Wishful thinking on my part

I agree TTF hard to beat them talent wise. I do think it will fix the anthem problem though.

I love the NFL but let's face it they have the market cornered and pretty much have us as a take it or leave it kind of customer. I have no clue what the XFL will bring but I like the idea of some competition for the NFL. Maybe the NFL will learn what a catch finally is and fix the inconsistent zebra calls. As a football fan and an NFL fan I like this, jmo.

Don't forget, 2021 the NFL is going to have a work stoppage
    That will help

I wouldn't count the XFL out just yet. A broadcast partner is a different thing than it was 20 years ago. WWE Network is extremely successful. If McMahon were to add this to WWE Network, and partner up with say Netflix and Amazon, this could be successful without NBC. He would still need some sort of brocast partner on conventional TV, but streaming is the future. His major problem at the beginning is going to be attendance. Even the NFL is having attendance issues. People don't want to show up to watch bad football. I'm interested to see where this goes. I hope it's profitable enough to force the NFL to make changes
