What didn't help the Broncos were all the short passes. The action from the 5-yard chuck zone is still going on, and even if PI is called it is only a few yards. The deep passes are normally better for getting the touch fouls, especially if the QB's name is Flacco or Eli.

Exactly and next year I think teams will be going down the field against the Seahawks. Much like they started to do to us a few years back.

Sherman even said that if they ran some double moves they would have been in trouble.

I think this is Manning's major flaw as a QB. He is an excellent study. He knows what the other team has done, what their trends are, etc. but he gets tunnel vision. He studies the tape and says....this is how we should attack them. Then when the game starts and they do something different despite showing the same things, he just can't get out of it and do something different.

Here's a little something I came across. I had been defending the hawks d and saying that they were playing clean when people were trying to say they weren't. I even re-watched the game to try and find all these illegal hits that people were supposedly seeing. There actually weren't any and then NFL.COM done this story to show that defenses still can lower the boom and not get penalized. This is a video about how the hawks played a clean game but were still physically dominant. BFT is vindicated! LOL! Enjoy!

he's got a few early picks that help too, but pete doesn't care about what a guy doesn't do well, he built this thing around what a guy does well and how that works with the guys strength that's next to him. pretty good thinking since it is a team game, and a team has to work as one, not one as a team. pete doesn't pick a guy because he's the top rated, he picks a guy that fits what he wants him to do with and for the team. he's picked a lot of guys I've liked over the last few years. I give him credit.

I agree, and I think Pete also understands what he needs the guys to be able to do well in order to fit his defense. I think Pete says....

I want my defense to do XYZ.
When it comes to the draft can you do XYZ? Great...yeah I know you can't ABC, but you can XYZ and I'll take you and keep you from needing to do XYZ.

He is very good at that.
