Trubisky the scrambler, followed by a 4 year head scratching BU followed by a rookie behind the lowest paid AND performing Oline in the entire NFL and you bet we are thin at QB. Heck we could lose all 3 in one game.

This brings up an interesting question. Does the team believe that the trade value for Trubisky is greater and is looking to trade him instead of Rudolph down the line

Again his team mates let him down that game. You act like he had a 70 rating or something sh*tty lol

I'm sure the offers are for 6th round picks or players that are being cut. The fact that we aren't interested in trading him means the team isn't sold on what we have now. If we were in anyway happy with Mitch and Kenny then we'd be more than happy to dump Mason for what ever need we have. We must feel that we may need to lean on Mason as some point this season.

Stop. If he played above the line for the previous 55 minutes he wouldn't have needed his teammates to bail him out.

Your crush on him is cute though. Does Ben know????

Team is not so good on knowing who to keep ay QB and for how long.. Look at Landry Jones as I predicted out of the NFL as soon as we finally let him go ..Mason will have 1 maybe 2 seasons after his release ..We should have kept Dobbs he is getting better each season and Mason is going in reverse..

He looked like an NFL starter for the opening drive, and then looked terrible for 50+ minutes. Not a confidence inspiring performance.

Everyone keeps talking about losing QBs to injury and trust me, I know how terrible this line is, but there wasn't one hit in 3 games where I felt worried our QB would be hurt. I know I know, all it takes is one but everything I've seen from Pickett tells me he knows how to stay out of harms way. With his quick release and the right play calling, I have little doubt they could keep him healthy. Banged up maybe but that's every player. Trubiskys downfall would be scrambling and trying to do too much but again, that's no different than any other starting QB. They just have to be smart.

Because You can't sign a vet backup really cheaper, and with as much knowledge of this Offense. Also You don't know how Trubisky will take being a backup if they go 2 Pickett....He may want 2 force His way out also.
    It's called insurance.

The Cowboys now have one QB on their roster. I wouldn't be surprised to see them make an offer for Rudolph.

Maybe... but it's very likely they will re-sign one of the two they cut.

He let his teammates down, too. He did very little positive most of the game. He missed an easy touchdown pass. He made a terrible decision to throw to Freiermuth on that fumble. The kid should have never been put in that position.

Johnson definitely let the team down with that fumble, but Rudolph was not good at all against a very bad opponent.

Chase Daniel and Josh Johnson hang around the league forever being backup QBs, Mason will be in the league for a while.

Who cares how Trubisky feels if he gets benched for Pickett, he will have to stick around for this season.

Not if He forces a trade. I don't know this would happen, but I didn't think it would happen with Melvin Ingram last year either...So...

With this Oline it might take 4 QB's to get through the season. The lowest paid Oline in the league and it shows. That's my reason for saying we're thin.

I hope Mason asks to be traded. Dudes been a consummate pro through the whole thing with Ben and now this. If they have him undressed during games I’d def lose some respect for that organization.
