The Steelers have a problem at ILB

bush is also hurting us in the passing game. 3 draft picks worth. still bringing in help to help. this will be the 4th guy brought in at this point. something else may be the problem. coaching? scheme? both?

 

Jerry O better get it together with these guys, they are a liability. I am also disappointed
in the DB play, Cam Sutton was terrible last night. I hope someone's steps up soon
in the DB room, not very impressive so far.

 

Fans and media types were quick to anoint Cam. Hope this was just a blip. Nelson was only 28, two years older, could have cleared cap space and extended him a few years.

 

i agree. cam was one of my worries with his speed to turn and run deep with guys. slot OK but outside i had my concerns about him. gilbert looks good i thought. pierre doesn't look bad and layne looked better. i still like killebrews game from the safety spot. he has looked good.

 

I am not ready to quit on Cam, I think he has what it takes. He was not
impressive last night like he needs to be. I am hoping for somebody in that DB
room to show me something, so far no one is doing that.

 

Letting Nelson go was a mistake. If he is lying and they really did try to get him to take a pay cut, I get it. If they just decided not to try at all and cut him loose, that was an unforced error that will hurt this year's defense significantly.

 

Yea but I'm strictly talking about ILB play, they have not played well against the run, Last year and this year so far. Bush, I know is coming in after ACL but don't see yet where he is going to make much difference.
