When this play happened I wanted to jump through the TV and punch the OC, HC, Play caller etc. This is the exact play where Muth got destroyed and Najee had little chance and no speed burst to bounce it outside when Muth got predictably destroyed. The play made no sense, running towards the TE who can't block a grade schooler along with it being on the boundary side so even less room to maneuver. How does that play get called with that personnel is beyond me.

Unfortunately these same issues apply to 95% of their plays so to single out just one becomes a fool's errand. But I hear ya.

This is the stuff that the average fan just doesn't see, mostly because they don't understand it. Anything more than typical fantasy stats is too confusing for the average fan. I truly believe that if people understood what they were watching, then support for Tomlin would have faded a long time ago, because our players are so often set up for failure. What confuses me is why the talking heads support Tomlin like they do. They know football, but they seem to ignore what they're seeing. I don't get it.

It is hard to see live though. Unless you go back and watch the All 22, it's really hard to see everything. You really only see where the ball is, but there's so much more happening.

And yes, I understand Tomlin didn't call that specific play, but he is responsible. Several OC's. Several DC's. Same results. He also chose to retain Canada, so everything happening right now is on him.
