Well I bet when Muth caught that pass at the 4inch mark from a td last week, and then lost yards, I would bet that Washington takes that for a td

About 4 to 5 inches from the goal line, and he lost yards

Despite all the childish “hater” talk because you dare criticize someone, Rudolph really seems like a good guy. I just dont think he is much of a QB but you can see here how much he wishes he was drafted into a better situation.

He always takes the high road when pressed on things like backing up Roethlisberger, Garrett Gate, etc. Things that he should actually have a legitimate beef about. Something to be said for that but unfortunately the cliche is usually true... 'nice guys finish last '.

SteelCity_NB, where ever he is, likely is saying the same thing. For that matter, I knew I was right after the team drafted him. Prior to Matt Canada, Pittsburgh really didn't even have a proper support system to develop one. If anything, @KnoxVegasSteel@KnoxVegasSteel ended up being right not just back in 2018 but also at the end of Tomlins tenure.

Randy Fichtner was technically one but in name only. I do feel for Mason all the same. Perhaps he himself can become a much better Coach someday than a Player. Dude is pretty damn bright overall.

Ok. Let’s see Washington take one down the seem for a TD.

I mean we arent really having this debate to who is a better receiving TE are we???

The whole "nice guys finish last" aspect would be true if Mason had the same support system that Allar and Howard have this year and failed. Alas, he did not. That is not fully on Mason. He did have his chances for sure. However, much of what he had to work with, or lack thereof, from a teaching standpoint was a critical error by the team. Tomlin would repeat that with Kenny Pickett though not quite as bad as others made it out to be.

Regardless, the lack of developing a QB falls squarely on Tomlin. While he did nab Tom Arth, a brilliant hire, it was too little, too late.

That was my fellow brother in arms when it came to draft season.

    I miss him.

    Hope he is okay.

    Correct.

Vancouver no less. That said, I haven't the foggiest of his whereabouts. He didn't give out that information for I was too late in asking him. :(

On paper this team has more depth than in the last half dozen years. And that depth is decent quality.

LOL.... So, what are you going to say next week when Allar starts the 3rd game?

I have been saying all along that Rodgers would not play, Mason would start game 1, Will Howard would start game 2, and Drew Allar would start game 3.

If they are thinking of keeping 4 quarterbacks the third game may again be Howard them Allar

The one thing Rudolph has always been weak on is pocket awareness. He doesn't have the eyes in back of his head. Not sure if coaching can really help there, especially this many years in.
