Just heard a stat, Howard completed 73% of his passes against the blitz. Tops in the class.

All that’s left now is to grab one of those huge developmental tackles and one legacy player. Mark Bruenor’s son is a draftable run and hit LB and Ryan Clark’s son is a corner. Who’s it gonna be?

I'm very pleased to have gotten one of either Howard or McCord this late.

Watson will be one i think.

I imagine that training camp competition is going to be pretty brutal for the quarterbacks there.

None of these QBs were great prospects but Howard has been my favorite. Honestly, over Ward, Dart and others. He's 6'4"+, 230+, mobile, has a strong arm and is a good kid. He has all the physical traits you want and can't teach/develop/change. Oh, and he won a national championship. He needs to make better decisions and could have better mechanics but those can be improved.

No one is asking him to play this year and he'll have Smith, Arth, Mason and probably Rodgers to learn from. I think he's the exact mid-roundish pick that could flourish in the NFL like Dak, Russell, Purdy and others. The NFL gets its players from college but there are still differences in the games. And, if not, it was only a 6th round pick. I thought we'd have to use the 4th. The GM team is having another great draft.

Yes. Howard is first round starter quarterback. Howard imo is akin to Carson Wentz coming out, only better because Howard has better resume and upside. Better resume comes from winning the national championship and that's a big deal. And that with much better completion 73% compared to Wents 63%. Howard also can carry more volume in the game, 26-30 passes per game, whereas for Wents 25 attempts per game was tops. So Howard is better.

Better upside related to the negatives coming out of college and compared to Wentz. Wentz was often hurt and played partial seasons unlike Howard last season. Wentz. Also, Wentz was consistently erratic in the full season he played in college on the same team and offense, whereas Howard on a new team took half a season when he was erratic and made bad decisions but then showed that he can get out of that and play clean ball without bad decisions for many snaps and quarters and games at the most important stretch of the season to win the championship. He can get into a rhuthm and master the offense.

First round starter 100%. Ceiling is SB winner on rookie deal.

I could very well be pretty brutal for the Browns faithful that show up to watch them.

They ran a lot of RPO and first-read throws with him at Ohio State. He's going to have to prove he can get through his progressions. His mechanics need some work, too.

Don't get me wrong. I'm very happy with him where they got him, but he's not a high-percentage pick. That is why he fell that late.

Let’s not continue with days of the Draft and nobody’s announcing names.

LMAO. No, he is not a first-round quarterback. Do you know why I know that? He just went in the sixth round.

Watson is looking to be finished. Flacco is worn out. Kenny is Kenny. I think Shedeur is overrated. Don't know about the fifth guy. Brown's fans might be asking themselves how they can have five quarterbacks and still not have a quarterback.....

Not sure about Shedeur. I did find Howard's though.

No, they don't. Watson is going to spend the season on IR.

I assume it will be Pickett or Flacco.

SO, when a team picks a guy from Navy, he still can't play for 4 years?

Exactly. There is a possibility that Watson might miss some or most of the season because I know at some point in his rehab process, he tweaked his Achilles injury.

2026 is a much better QB class and the Stains have two number ones.
