I like the Howard pick or really any QB in this pick. We have 2 guys in the QB room Mason and Skylar....... NOT optimal to start any season. A QB needed added, I wouldn't expect Howard to see any time at all until after his rookie contract anyway barring injury to someone. And if Rodgers is so fragile that he's threatened by a rookie 6th rounder.... well then he should just retire.

I dont think he is an insurance policy, he was drafted for value and future development. I dont think Aaron's signing has anything to do with this pick.

Howard throws a nice deep ball.

It most likely doesn't have anything to do with last season. It has everything to do with his DeShaun Watson like behavior with the massage therapist. Tucker has a bunch of them making the same accusations against him that were made against watson. Tucker is almost certainly going to get the same suspension that Watson had. I don't see how they can't give him the same punishment.

At the very least, it does help the Steelers in the fact that the team won't be completely caught off guard heading into 2025. Leaving this draft without one isn't ideal. Nabbing Howard does cushion the blow quite a bit considerably.

It may get there, but damn thats asking a lot. He may pick it up very fast and be the surprise, but damn better to develop over time than under durress lol.

He's got a good arm. He's not Josh Allen, but it's pretty good.

    ?!

Skylar Thompson has a much higher chance of being cut if the team signs Aaron Rodgers. If not, I doubt that Howard is getting cut for Thompson and Rudolph are not going to be here long term. Howard will be and will be needed in the future; doubly so in 2026 when the Steelers do select the one.

Tucker looked washed up. The accusations are probably his nail in the coffin. I imagine the ravens are ready to turn the page. He was always a rocky douche.

I love the Howard pick, especially this late. Great value for a flier QB.

Mason is not built like a brick house (pun intended). Needed QB insurance.

Wasn't there someone here who wanted the Steelers to take Howard in the first round? There may have been more than one poster who told me I was wrong in insisting he would be a Day 3 pick.

Crazy how much I like Khans mid to late round picks, and always end of making fun of him for his 1st round picks that never produce on the field.

Funny Video here about the 1st round. The REAL Winners & Losers of the 2025 NFL Draft

I laughed my ass off watching him show the players come to the fixed camera and try on their new Hat. Then he got to RB Ashton Jeanty. :roflmao:

Does Howard have a high ceiling? Seems like he has all the tools. He looked pretty damn good in the CFP's.

One thing I like about Howard or McCord for that matter is they got the size for this division. I just have a hard time seeing a smaller frame QB surviving the AFC North. Still can’t get over seeing Russel Wilson, a Steelers QB smaller than myself out there behind our line. I like Russ but it baffled me.

If the line holds up, they have some decent weapons, this is not last year...actually some legit players to work with.
