The steelers need to trade Pickens if they want a second round draft pick.....

Bad first half of season at Oklahoma, than transferred to SC.
I see a lot of Big Ben traits in him. Not a run first qb, keeps his head up looking downfield, good arm and can improvise.
    Saints love him

I wouldn't complain about any DL or OL in the 3rd. Please....no QB.

Sanders and Shough will be gone, but I could see them taking Milroe or Howard in the third. I wouldn't love it, but it wouldn't be disastrous.

Of course, they have that big hole to fill at running back, so maybe that is the pick there.

I really like Harmon, but I also really like Darius Alexander and Omar Norman Lott as impact DTs who are day 2 picks, so I'd have taken one of those sweet deals and moved into the 2nd.

There is so much value on day 2 and early day 3 this year, especially at the RB and DL positions.. they need some picks to take advantage of it. They also need to take a QB swing every year till they hit one

Though not urgently so, I think the Raiders will still be in the market - the third year of Smith's extension, his age-37 year, is pure base salary. So a high-ceiling developmental guy that could be Geno's understudy for a two years.

Others I would say are still in the market: Seattle, New Orleans, Indianapolis, Jets, Miami, and the Rams.

Fair enough. I think Howard at best is a game managing QB. I am NOT against him but picking him in round 2 is like Pickett in round 1, a BIG reach. Now, if they say draft an RB and DB in rounds 3 and 4, and Howard there in round 5 (maybe round 4), cool, solid value there.

They have to draft A QB, by round 4 or 5, Howard may be the best available. I view him alot like I viewed Rudolph when they drafted him, not much upside. Probably capable of starting in the NFL, but not likely average or above average QB. Howard in round 2 or 3, not a fan. Howard in round 4 or 5, perfectly acceptable. There are 3 or 4 other QBs on the board right now I'd MUCH rather have. If the all go before the Steelers round 4 pick, then Howard might make sense there.

I agree on DL depth in this draft. I would have LOVED to have traded back 6 or 8 spots, gained a round 2 and round 4 pick and sent back a round 5 pick.

That said, Harmon has serious upside and lots to like. Any DL they got in round 2 would lack some of that upside, but still be a viable starting DT/DE.

They need an RB, but I would NOT be disappointed if they doubled-down on DT or DE in round 3 or 4. While Heyward is there, he can rub off on these young guys and we all know Heyward is a confident, respectable, solid man AND DL. One or two years under Heyward cannot be a bad thing.
