You just specify "lowest third round 2026 pick" when you make the trade.

I just don’t agree. I like him better than Ewers and McCord, much better than Milroe. The only QB prospect I have rated higher than Howard that is still available is Sanders. Howard could go as early as early round 2. I bet he’s gone by our pick in round 3. If we want him, we probably have to move up. If he’s there in round 3 we got lucky.

Teams weren't just willing to trade up, they were giving up hauls to move up. More often than not there will be 2 to tango

The next highest rated QB is Sanders and he’s about 35 spots down the list among all prospects. Cleveland could throw a wrench in it with 2 picks early tonight but there is a good chance all these guys will be there in the 3rd.

I haven't seen any ranking that doesn't have Howard in the fourth or fifth round. Most have Shough as a second-rounder. Sure, those rankings can be wrong. I'd be fine with Howard in the third and very happy if they got him in the fourth, but I don't see the logic in trading back into the second for him.

By all these guys, do you think Sanders is going to slide to the third round now?

First point is unknown and the second point I never advocated for them doing. I was responding to a report that the Steelers were among 3 teams talking to the Giants to move up. You only move up that much to that position to take a QB. I believe if a team thinks a guy is a franchise QB then you do whatever you have to, to get him. The report was obviously bogus as the Steelers didnt feel he was first rd talent.

I really wanted Rattler last year. People tend to forget he was #2 in the country behind Caleb at one time.
But, what do I know, I clean toilets for a living

Whos left looking? Cleveland and maybe the Saints? Titans and Giants got theirs already. Cleveland with the firepower they have are in very good position to take a QB in next years draft which is deemed much better and Saints still have Carr and his injury timeline is unknown. Yes, I think these QBs may drop to the 3rd.

We obviously weren’t concerned with his medical since we spent the pick on him lol

I think we were happy he was available because he had him high on our board. If he wasn’t available I’m 100% sure we were not drafting any DL. We might’ve gone corner in that instance. Or S.

I remember he was touted as a top pick but then had a bad season I think? I forget the details but just goes to show you how volatile this rankings can be so far out from the draft.

Clowns are loading up for next year. I could see them trading out of 33 to a team that actually wants Sanders for this year's second and next year's second. Make a splash on Pittsburgh's home turf.

0 chance. Cleveland maybe. Possibly the Saints. Raiders arent taking him, they just signed Geno.

It’s possible, but do they make it to us in round 3? Probably not. If Cleveland and and saints don’t take a QB in 2, they certainly will in 3. Indy could take a QB. The raiders could take a couple year project. Miami maybe as an insurance policy for another Tua concussion… it’s not just 2 teams that could draft one of these guys.

If Harmon wasn't available the Steelers probably trade down, Khan said they received calls but they weren't going to pass on Harmon.

Could see the Jets taking Milroe. Almost perfect back up to Fields.

That still won't be enough to get back into the second round.

Would be easier moving up in the 3rd than trying to get back into the second if they wanted one of these guys.

Raiders have Geno, Colts signed Jones, dont see Miami in the market. I think the only two teams that could get in the way are Cleveland and Saints.

I still don't understand why the NFL invited Milroe to the green room, no team was going to draft him in the first round.

Being the clairvoyant I am I foresee the Steelers taking a wide receiver with their second round pick

And most of the fans love it
