Part of the purpose of the 17 game schedule is to play international games. It's not just the game, but it is the merchandising that comes with it. London will have either an expansion team, or the Jags in the next ten years.

Logistics nightmare, especially for the team that ends up there and has to travel 8 or 9 times to here.

    NEIN!!

IMO very stupid idea but sadly it's all about the $$$$$$ and it will only get worse.

When I look at newborns in my family I look at them and say your generation is in for a rocky ride.

Make it like baseball and do not return home between games.

Didn't the Rams do this when they were playing back to back games on the east coast a few years ago with Fisher? Might have been Preseason as I seem to remember this from Hard Knocks.

That's what they said they were going to do for a London team. I can't remember the details, but they were planning the London team would play X games home X games travelling the US, then back and forth all season.

As fun as a true World Championship would be, the rest of the world isn't nearly ready, and putting expansion teams around the world, as Blast said, creates scheduling and logistics nightmares.

A Euro league as its own division would make more sense, but 1)Not enough interest overseas to invest that many teams, and 2) not enough talent to go around. I don't think it'll happen in most of our lifetimes.

An NFL team in Mexico or 1-2 in Canada makes more immediate sense.

Nice one TDFW. Love that movie. I had the pleasure of joining Johnny Ringo/Kyle Reese (Michael Biehn) for a week on a Snake River rafting trip in Hell's Canyon Oregon back in the mid-90's. Very nice low keyed guy, complete opposite of most of his action roles. I didn't actually recognize him but my daughters kept saying "Dad - that's Johnny Ringo! That's Johnny Ringo!" Small world.

That's awesome. I saw the movie in the theaters when it came out, and I have watched it at least once a year ever since. I still grab one of my kids guns and practice twirling it around to this day. Lol. I would have probably got on Michael Biehn's nerves if I meet him. :lolol:

For years I'd stay in a little town in Mexico called, Puerto Morelos. I was down there for the months of Sept. and Oct. I was shocked how many locals had an NFL team they followed. They had a sports bar there that was packed on Sundays with every NFL game on one of the TV's. Lot of Steeler fans and for some reason the Carolina Panthers had a lot of local fans. They would go bat **** crazy just like us.

Cost of living a tad bit different down there. Game day 15 peso (less then a dollar) for any bottled beer.
