Well since Gay is now gone. Who do you think will step in and take over the job? I've like what I've seen at times with Keenan Lewis and Cortez Allen. Do you guys think one of the two will be the starter or do you think they go high in the draft and get a starter that way?

I don't see us taking a CB very early because I think they have to give Cortez and Brown a chance. I think it will be a 3 way competition in camp with Lewis being the eventual starter.

If they go outside the roster to find a #2 my guess is it would be a veteran out of FA like Chris Carr, Marcus Trufant, Terrence Newman, Chris Johnson, etc.

Unless C Allen/Brown make huge strides this off season then I see Lewis being the man with those 2 possibly rotating as the 3rd CB (to get experience).

I hope it is Curtis Brown.

I don't have a subscription but Jim Wexell mentioned on twitter yesterday that Tomlin likes Cortez Allen to start this season. He had more if you are a subscriber.

Yeah, he basically said that Gay will likely be replaced by Keenan Lewis but that Coach T is "high on Allen" and "at one point last season Tomlin said privately that Allen could start at left cornerback in 2012."

Yeah, me too. I really thought that is who is would be but sounds like it will be Allen. Either one is okay with me as long as its not Gay (although Willie played well this past year).

Yes, sounds like Tomlin wants to throw the proverbial bone between the dogs. I love it. This will probably be the best competition out of training camp.

Allen did a good job last season before getting injured. That was another reason why we lost to denver as well.He was playing good ball.Brown and lewis are a luxury for the nickel

I think we will see more dime this year then even in the past. The NFL has become pass happy and it shows even on defense.

Ike and Lewis will be the starters and stay on the outside WRs.

Brown I expect will be used in 3 WR sets where the guys are fast and shifty.

Allen I expect to get slot receivers who are long or larger.

Both I think will see the field a lot, probably more than we saw Ike, Gay, Lewis and Allen last year. Brown is a sleeper that I think many here are overlooking. He didn't get his shot yet, but he will.

I think allen is going to be the better corner of the two.

My money is still on Brown....I think we got a steal in him and I had a high 2nd. round grade on him....If he can stay healthy I think he is our guy....
