From afar the whole event looked to go superbly. The effort made by the organisation over the months to build a connection and also the travelling army of Steeler nation seemed to create a special vibe.

Did anyone visit and have anything more to add regarding how they felt it went and what their experiences were like?

I'd love for it to happen again or be a regular destination every few years or so. I got goosebumps seeing the renegade videos.

1-0 that sure helped. they announced 75,000 plus at the game. nice turnout. the only downer was skylar thompson got robbed. i'm sure TJ could lend him a few dollars. :smiley1::cool:

i went and it was marvellous. dublin was buzzing all weekend with thousands of fans all decked out in their gear. americans really like dressing up. loads of pubs with steeler/viking balloons and flags. the nfl took over dublin for the weekend.

memorabilia sold out in seconds. nowhere to get irish version terrible towels or scarfs from saturday onwards you could get vikings stuff at any time even after the game.

renegade was great and my first experience of it. took a video of it on my phone but when i went to replay it after the game, all i had recorded was 2 seconds of putting my phone back in my pocket!

That's awesome. It sounds like it was everything I hoped it would be. I really hope it's a special connection for the future. I know for some having the international games takes away from where it should be domestically but I can't stress enough how much it means to fans over here. Glad you had a proper Irish welcome. I love the passion of NFL fans from the US. I've had so many good encounters over the years with people from your country and have felt loads of warmth, friendliness and humour. Of course a few Guinness's brings anyone together. Here's to another one in the future.

The USA vs. Europe. Okay, we will re-match them in American football.
