The Head Coach/General Manager Debate

If we assume that the HC/GM gets all the credit and blame for accountability and keeping emotion out of it after a loss....for those of you that hate Tomlin and Colbert...dont get me wrong...I have a h@rd on for Butler....what are your top 3 alternates?

You can go look at every fan base and see hatred for the HC...even the Pats and Ravens...which is only a natural response to a bad season(s) or game.

I can make a dozen arguments on why Butler is not a good DC with accentuating the negatives and minimizing the positives. One example is if you took every team and ranked on average the draft placement of the picks...I would believe the Steelers defense have arguably the highest average of picks in the top 100 of that years class....many 4th round or better draft picks on that defense.

You can say also that the DB coaches under the ......DC under the....HC...has developed undrafted Hilton to be a solid contributor who couldnt make the Pats team years ago....while the other highly rated Auburn CB the Steelers picked that year is out of the NFL I believe.

Besides giving your top 3 alternate HC candidates...can you explain why Tomlin is not a top 5 coach in the NFL?

I struggle with this and instead of a trigger reaction and finding every case where he fails...I just dont see many sexy candidates.

Belicheat doesnt count. Ask Mike Martz. lol The Pats really do cheat and its not a conspiracy...its a coverup.

So to me...its not about being a Tomlin lover and not wanting new blood...I just dont see many others that would be consistently better...Harbough?, Reid?, Payton?...Carroll?
