The good, the bad, and the ugly

I keep reading about the injuries to Haden and Smith-Schuster. Did we actually hear any more about those after the game? I know they said Smith-Schuster could have returned if they needed him. I thought the report was also that Haden was okay. Was there something more negative in the post-game that I missed?

 

Stan on post game said JuJu stepped on a yellow flag and sprained a toe?

 

The way he was limping didn’t look real good.

According to this, neither Haden nor Smith-Schuster are seriously injured. I am concerned that we might not see Smith-Schuster Thursday night.

 

Great:

D.J. had an awesome game IMO. Circus catch on a well defended play near goal line that set up easy TD. Had other tough catches. I would give him game ball.

Ben made a ridiculous sidearm looping throw to D.J for a 1st down with the walls closing in. It was simply amazing and accurate.

Crazy:

One of our guys pushed one of theirs, then that guy retaliated even worse. Refs see it. Usually the retaliator gets the PF or sometimes both get the PF. No, they PF the guy who started it. HUH? Did I miss a rule change or what?

 

Good:
Another win
Another trap-game win
Another overcoming sloppiness win
Another...
Oh hell, another game where we can't call ourselves "same Tomlin-led Steelers." Something is VERY different about this team than in years past. So many of the old criticisms are being shattered.
Victory formation at the 2 minute warning

Bad:
Not winning with traditionally sound football
Short week
Bumps and bruises
Ben getting less accurate
Ben forcing the ball to DJ

Ugly:
Having to get past the Chiefs to get where we want to go. They are beatable, but damn.

 

If MR is forbidden to throw the ball shouldn't that be in the good column?

 

I think it all stems from Futchner's constant confusion.

 

Pretty sure you already know. They are all I hear about every single day for 6 months.

Good: Another relaxing, low stress victory that I watched at my fav watering hole while also watching the Rats going down on the screen next to the Steelers game. Beer very cold too.
Team looks to be getting more in sync especially on defense while it is being proven that no one can cover all of our WRs, they are all over the field and there is just too many.

Bad: Stains winning, OL is keeping Ben upright but the penetration by the DL worries me. Where is Dotson.

Ugly: Nothing regarding our team who is now 10-0. What is, I hope, ugly is what we're going to do to Lamar and the Ratbird's on Turkey night.
