The First Steeler Offense Play Prediction

Lets try to have some fun and see how good we think we have a pulse on the the Steeler first drive play.

I see Watt in and James getting the ball for a gain of 2 yards.

I see Ben throwing deep to Chase for a long completion.

I see a quick hit to Dionte on a slant for 6 yards that does not get blocked.

Winner gets an all expense dinner with Coach Tomlin so you can tell him how to fix the running game. JK

 

SHort pass to 18 that either gets batted down or 18 drops.

 

It hurts because it's true.

 

Ben trips over his own feet and fumbles.

 

1. Ben muffs a hand off to Conner from the 1 yard line, an ever alert O line surrounds and they waddle to the other 1 before he is tackled. Ist and goal and 6 penalties later result in the 'Gals taking over after 18 successive tries of getting the elusive TD. D gets rewarded with a pick 6 and we win the game 6-0 (Boz missed x point).

2. Ben hits JuJu midfield as he is still doing his dance on the logo, officials missed the obvious off sides because it is Cincy and no one is really watching anyway.

3. MR starts the game and throws the longest pass of his career, a 4 yard sizzler to Ray Ray, however Ray Ray is actually on the side line at the time. Though technically not a completion MR awarded a game ball for getting the ball past the line of scrimmage

 

1. Hand off to Conner up the middle. Stuffed for a 1 yard loss
2. Quick slant to Johnson. Drop
3. Beautifully thrown 20 yard pass to Ebron. Drop.

1. 2 yard completion to JuJu.
2. Pass is batted down
3. Run Right, Fake Jet Sweep, Flea Flicker - Hand on to Conner, who gives it to Claypool on jet sweep, flips to Roethlisberger who throws to Washington for a 75 yard TD.

 

Ben will be itching to air it out. He's fully aware of all the reporting on his deep woes. He'll want to prove a point.

So deep ball to JW or Claypool that is incomplete because it was 10 yds short.

Delay of Game

2nd down: McFarland in motion, ball is snapped before he sets. 2nd and 12. Ben throws quick sideline pattern to DJ who juggles the ball before going out of bounds. Ruled incomplete. Tomlin challenges, play stands as called, Steelers charged a T.O. 3rd and 12.

3rd down: Ben drops back, Snell whiffs on blitzing safety, Ben steps up and and under hands a quick shovel pass to Vance, who is tackled after a four yard gain.

4th down: Berry shanks a 19 yard punt OOB's, Bengals flagged for roughing Berry, Steelers maintain possession.

 

Good stuff. I think every conceivable play has been called in modern football. I honestly see many of these plays on the opening drive if not the 1st play as long we dont get a whiteout.

Was never a BA fan but I did like the scripted plays he had for the opening drive.

Hopefully something easy and low risk to get 18 back in a rhythm along with Ebron.

Steelers take possession at their own 11 yard line after returner catches kickoff 8 yards deep in the end zone and decides he's gonna make it work. But doesn't.
1-10 Conner off tackle but has to bounce outside for a loss of 2
2-12 Chase does jet sweep to the close side of the field and gains 3 yards
3=9 Bens throws deep 40 yards to DJ who catches the ball out of bounds.
