This would make the most sense. The play worked because nobody had Blake covered. It was a good read though. I missed the actual snap and the pass first time around, because I was staring at the bottom of my pint glass at the time in despair, but then looked up and was like: "how the hell has Blake got the ball?"

Looked like both of the gunners were uncovered and did the brownies only have 10 "men" on the field??

I agree. We came out flat after halftime. I was begging for something to spice things up and that was it. I know we ended up punting anyway, but it woke the team up.

    Great play. Great read.

And should never have been necessary. Calling that so deep on the field shows a complete lack of confidence in our defense.

I suppose I could say it shows a willingness to do anything necessary to win. A willingness to gamble, take chances and leave it all on the field...

    :roflmao:

Since when is that something we see?

I think more importantly it flipped field position. They had to do something there.

It was really a huge play, switched field position, and gave the defense more rest, because they were sucking wind all 2nd half.
Good play by Golden and Blake.
I was surprised at how well Golden threw it, that isn't something a safety does everyday.

I was going to say this..... it was probably the coaches call to say "hey if they line up like this again, do the fake punt" and Golden had that as an option at the time they lined up..... took some big cahoona's to do it on our 20 yard line, no matter who made the call..... stood a huge chance to be a scape goat and EPIC fail if it hadn't worked. Personally, I think Tomlin was retarded for making such a call even if it worked.

Aaaand that just proves my point to Contract in the game day thread that even when Tomlin does things right, will still get hammered :lolol:
