Like I said we went all last preseason without the starters putting the ball in the end zone. We ha e vets but we also have a lot of youth and basically a whole new line lets wait until the regular season. I was angry last night but our passing game is very vanilla right now and if we can continue to pound the rock like we have behind the starting oline we will be alright. The starting defense looks like they are already ready for the season. Let's see how this week goes as now they will have a gameplan.

Gay is so far down on the list of concerns...once again, our O looks horrible in committing penalties, TO and not being able to finish drives.

 

It's true that preseason doesn't count. However, at this point we really should be showing some signs of life offensively. We're playing against base defenses and flat out struggling. Did we even convert a 3rd down in the first half?

I was reading your post and Ben walked over and saw your avatar and said "who is that"? and I said "that's Jack Lambert" and Ben got this gritty tone in his voice and said "he's meeeean!!!" YES!!!! I'm a successful parent!!! My son knows a great football player when he sees it and he's only 2 and a half!!! Last night he was also yelling "Go Steelers"! They, however, weren't listening. LOL.

 

If the D can't keep points off the board ( due to QB's feasting off of Gay's uselessness) then whats the point of scoring them? ( example the cowgirls) They can't win when they score 30 points

something between troy and gay looked like it happened on that play. i'm not so sure that was gays guy to start with. troy ended up covering short nobody. i'm not so sure gay didn't have the deep corner of the EZ and troy was up at the line and hankerson was his guy to the inside. maybe gay guessed wrong, but the more I watched that play the more it looked like troy tripped gay up with who and where he was going to cover.

Actually, YES, yes we did... Two of `em, in fact...
They were both called back by penalties.... We did convert ONE third down, but i believe it was in the second half...
That sucks!

 

Well the only good thing I can think of is, last time we went defeated in all pre season games, we won the super bowl. It was one of the 1st 4 years
SO, lets lose the other two, too.

 

The steelers went 3-1 that preseason with wins over eagles, dolphins, and panthers no team has ever lost all its preseason games and won the supper bowl. As ttf pointed out only the 90 bills lost all four and went to the super bowl.
