They are still playing for the #1 seed though, which is important IMO.

AFCN 3 games to go and all 4 teams have a chance. Pretty exciting. Really wish we had the Chiefs early in season. They are in Super Bowl mode.

Yep that’s the path right there and the one that’s the most logical. The key game is Baltimore beating Cincinnati at 1 o clock on Sunday. If that happens and even if the Steelers lose to the Chiefs on Sunday if the Bengals lose to the Chiefs at home and the Ravens lose to the Rams at home on January 2nd, and the Steelers beat the Browns on that Monday night in a few weeks the game in Baltimore on January 9th will be for the AFC North plain and simple.

If the Bengals lose their next two games at home to the Ravens and Chiefs and the Steelers beat the Browns on January 3rd the Bengals would be eliminated from winning the division completely going into the final week. The Steelers would also have a chance to still win the North the final week if the Bengals, Ravens, and Steelers all go 1-1 in the next 2 weeks. The Steelers would then need to beat the Ravens in Baltimore and have the Browns beat the Bengals in Cleveland. Now of course you want the win and in scenario with the Ravens in week 18 but that scenario with the Steelers beating the Ravens and needing the Browns to beat the Bengals is very possible as well.

nice game vs. DET there, boys....

Mason sucks, don't bother to watch next year if he is handed the job.

While I do agree about Mason and heck yeah it would be tough to watch I'd still watch. I sat through games with Bubby Brister and Cliff Stoudt and as a kid I watched greats like Kent Nix and Bill Nelson so I'm prepared for the nightmare that would be Mason.

I have no idea what will happen but I think the Steeler organization will find a QB rather then waste a season on Mason. (I hope)

I will pray that this is true. In addition, my prayer will include,
Stains finish dead last in the division
    Stains have a losing record
Endless twitters showing Stain fans in tears
A coaching change because their current coach see's the light and there is none
Their stadium is hit by a rogue wave from the lake (but miraculously misses the R&R HOF
And Minefield gets caught in the bus station bathroom doing something he shouldn't. JMO>

The best part is how Baker "Johnny football 2.0" Mayfield has crapped the bed. Don't be surprised if the stains trade him and jump into the A-Aron competition in the off season. Rodgers could do wonders with the talent on that team. Downside would be living in Cleveland LMAO!!

Yep. The difference makers to winning under current system (socialism) are mainly drafting and coaching instead of team revenue (capitalism) via salary cap. Socialism seems to work for sports.

However, I think an argument can be made about how punitive the draft is to successful drafting and coaching which results in winning. Don`t know what changes could be made. Since drafting is an inexact science, the smartest are rewarded in spite of how punitive it is. Seems to be good enough given the choices of how to run a competitive league of teams.

This is an interesting development that could make a difference. Mahomes is great, but even great QBs need weapons. Without either Kelce or Hill, their receiving corps becomes just one star and a bunch of other guys (nameless gray faces?). Of course, they could always run for 250 yards on us and make it irrelevant.

Can You believe I caught flak when I said Ben wasn't the worst Qb in the AFCN. This is why I laughed at all the Browns, and ravens love at the beginning of the season.
Sad thing is both teams I believe are seeing it, and won't break the bank 2 pay those Qbs like I hoped they would.
Browns watch a 2nd, 3rd string come in and preform as good as baker.
Ravens watch a backup come in and put up more points in the last 2 games than Lamar has in the last 4 weeks.
So I think there goes the breaking the bank.

They may be in Super Bowl mode but they are still struggling with the formula Tampa exposed in the SB last year which was with Mahomes less than 100% you increase the pressure on him to carry the team.

I'd think that would be the same waste having Mayfield is with a run first team. Spend money on Hooper and Landry have Ninjoku and hand the ball to Chubb 30 times a game. Huge waste.

Because many of us went through the Bubby, Kent Graham, Jim Miller, Mike Tomczak days we don’t want to see it repeat. Let’s hope the FO finds a QB better than Rudolph and Haskin
