Dupree wasn't a miss. He developed into a damn good player, but left as a free agent.

Your overall point is a good one. Edmunds set them back and Bush has been a disaster. They could have dealt with the linebacker position or picked up an outstanding running back instead of reaching for Edmunds. The former would have spared them from wasting so much draft capital for Bush.

These are valid points but all that being said you shouldn’t be blowing 10 point leads at home in the 4th to Zach Wilson. I’m sorry but this is terrible coaching and schemes/adjustments whatever you want to call it. Now this week when the Bills beat us by 90 and we have all these guys out then sure that’s a fair point. The other factor is the offense is still awful too and they are not injured. I loved that Pickett was actually trying to throw downfield but his 2 INTs hurt us badly. Granted you could say the receivers did him little favors but the throw to Pat on the flat pass was late and high.

Ignorant and uninformed??? Based upon your logic there are no good coaches in the league then. Everything rides or dies with a franchise QB. Truth be told there is only less than a handful of coaches who have won w/o a franchise QB and those that won w/o a franchise QB had a all-time defense to back them up. Makes you wonder why there even is a such thing as a coach, right?? I'm so glad to know now that coaches are worthless in the league.

Btw what was Chuck Noll's record prior to Terry Bradshaw getting there??? I'll wait. From the time Bradshaw stopped playing Chuck had like one playoff win right over like a eight year stretch??? I wonder if you had the same angst for Noll DURING THAT STRETCH as you do now for Tomlin?? Were you saying the same things about him then as you are now about Tomlin who is technically in his first year w/o Ben...that a franchise QB carried him??? If not, why not??? I mean you don't want to look like a complete hypocrite and prejudice tool do you?? Let's be honest...when did you start calling for Noll's head?? Btw doesnt it seem foolish to compare coaches from the 70s era to the modern era due to free agency??? It sort of makes a difference. Naw???? ok...carryon then.

It would work perfect actually as the offense can't score if it's not on the field.

That's been the problem though. The Steelers time of possession is currently second to last in the league.

So basically the game plan has to be a slugfest shootout as the Steelers haven't been able to control the clock or stop the run effectively. This plan against the Bills is not ideal.

It's interesting this is the most adversity Tomlin's had as head coach.

What scheme did you want them to run that covers up the fact that Norwood and Maulet both suck?

Pickett's first interception wasn't a great throw, but it should have been caught. The second one was a poor decision and a poor throw, but it didn't hurt nearly as much as some here claim. If he eats the ball, it is third and about 20 outside the 40. If he throws it away, it's third-and-15 at the 36. The Jets most likely still get the ball back with plenty of time.

getting out of the predictability factor that the offense has been in will go a long way. TDs instead of FG's will also help.

I get that the offense isn’t good but, we anticipated that. The Defense should be held to a different expectation while the offense matures and grows. We have multiple All Pro’s on defense. We are the highest paid defense and we have supposedly three savants from a coaching perspective coaching the defense.

The lesson of the last three weeks is clear. Even with all the talent around him, this defense relies far too much on Watt. The pass rush, in particular, has been extremely disappointing despite Highsmith, making things even harder on a banged-up secondary.

To be fair isn’t the job of the head coach to manage all aspects of the game at all times

    A head coach is P T Barnum
